Cant be, so the habs are going to draft again that would be a joke, habs are a decent team
- Mapleleafs_91

You might be right.

Even though the bleacher report is a crap site...it explains things a bit in this article.
http://bleacherreport.com...he-2004-nhl-draft-lottery

It's a combination of the past few years, I think you're right.

I'm quite sure, and I'm totally willing to be wrong, that it uses the previous years results again.

he loss of the 2004–05 season meant that there were no results on which to base the order of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. The league settled on a lottery system in which all teams had a weighted chance at the first pick, expected to be Sidney Crosby. The lottery was tilted so teams with fewer playoff appearances over the last three seasons and fewer number one overall picks over the last four seasons had a better chance of landing higher picks. The complete order was determined by the lottery, and the draft was conducted in a "snake" style, meaning in even rounds, the draft order was reversed. This system was an attempt to compromise between those who felt all teams should have had an equal chance at the first pick and those who felt only the weaker teams should have been in the running.

If the Oilers get Mckinnon they might be willing to let Gagner go.

Perfect! Totally rings a bell.
Thanks for correcting me on that. The leafs, Isles and Oilers will be in line for #1 for sure!

Not if you ask Cloutier (Oilers blogger) even though the oilers got the first overall 3 years in a row, he says the leafs will win the draft because the NHL will rig it.

Yeah thats why i want a lock out instead of burke pushing us to make the playoffs and losing our spot at dead last, this gives us the chance to get our poop together, have a good running at mackinnon(centerman), and then see next summer on big free agents like getz, perry, etc if they are available and not signed before this upcoming september 15

the second scoring line centre

i know grabo is there.. but i really do think bozie would do well in that role (if its not a shut down line role)

- Dozzer

Agreed but now where is Grabo going?

While I'd still prefer no lockout, I do like the sound of this.

Little faith in the Getzlaf/Perry coming to TO part though.

I know you guys all want to watch hockey but id prefer to watch us not suffer this season when we can pull our things together and rethink things and strategize our plans which burke will do so it gives him a bit more time to make big splashes for the next year, draft, and next summers free agency.
