Dozzer - what are you smoking? Connolly isn't more versatile... first time in my life I've seen or heard the work versatile used instead of the word lazy/soft.

Connolly is absolutely NOT more versatile. THe experiment at 1st line center was a bust... but becuase they paid the fool way too much... they felt obligated to play him. Scenario is a virtual duplicate to Komiserak. Bozak has done everything that the team has asked him to do... has he been overmatched - yes at times. Has he had bad +/- numbers - yup... but that will happen when you're playing with the defensive wonder that is Phil Kessel.

Please Please Please don't continue to use Connolly is any role. Best outcome would be an injury in the pre-season.

i dont disagree

but in a bottom six role.. i'd take his experience over bozaks energy as it would translate to the wing easier.

i dont mind bozak but he's just not that good. and as the third line centre?!?!?!?

carlyle matches his lines.. and the third line gets to shut down the opposition top line.. bozak would be WAAAAY out of his league

right now he is on a top line, matching up against opposition third liners.. its the only reason he is having success

It was just some observations, we could be way off or right about him. Still said he is a good prospect.

After watching the game, I can say I believe he needs to work on his skating before hitting the bigs.

That can't be true, he takes majority of his faceoffs against the leagues top guys and has pretty good % to boot. He's not as useless as it seems, he saved Kessels ass so many times backchecking and then feeding passes up to kessel.

I agree he didn't look good today, but I don't think it will be a regular thing. Come one guys stick to putting pressure on your own prospects and lay off mine!

how about if I just shoot a flaming tennis ball out of my buddy's real cannon... think it would stay lit?

cause that's what we're having trouble with - keeping a projectile on fire.

ok but typically a teams shut down line is not their top line

and the kessel line did draw the opposition shut down lines

so the majority of the time bozak, while making good plays (i am not denying that), wasnt being put into a situation where he had to shut down opposition top centres.

if he was placed on the third line that is precisely what his job would be.. especially under carlyle

and no, i dont think he would be particularly effective at it

im not sure what they are going to do with bozak if they get that #1 C.

hes not fit for a shutdown role, i do agree on that. unless of course he was with 2 beasts on his wing, then perhaps his smaller size COULD get the job done.

not unless we find him someone of sundin's calibre to pass him the puck he wont.

all berezin did was skate fast in a straight line and banged in beauty passes from sundin

- Dozzer

Not true.

All Berezin did was skate fast up the middle than deak quickly to the right or left and shoot.
It was affective for a few years until players caught on.
