mcclement was brought in to centre the third line.. that was stated

steckel is a fine 4th line centre.. nothing wrong there

bozak and connolly are second line centres behind grabo on the depth chart

if there is an upgrade on the top line bozak is likely gone.. final year of deal anyways.

connolly can play wing as well... a little more versatile.. also gone this year

- Dozzer

lots of nonsense has been 'stated' over the course of Burkes tenure.
far too many people assume mcclement is the next brindamour rather than the next dupuis.

I see what your saying but I'd rather have, if the JVR experiment works out, bozak centering the third line and mcclement centering the fourth line.

If I had my druthers, neither of the following would be included on this team: mcclement, connolly, lombardi, komisarek, liles, colborne, and I've always been torn on phaneuf, even in Calgary days

Seems to me he is the next mediocre player in Toronto.

Read a really good article last night on my phone @ work thou saying Burke is heavily into the CBA negotiations and it's a big reason why he has stood pat thus far...true or not makes a little sense.

grabo is well suited as a 2nd line centre, Bozak is a nice fit for third, and if Carlyle rolls 4 lines regularly mcclement is perfect for the 4th........steckel is junk.

I really like Liles, not for what he is but for things I have seen from him when he is healthy.

If we had more certainty on it, Lombardi, Connolly, and Komisarek or some of could at least have been dealt for cap room to those under cap floor.

bozak would be horrible in the bottom six under carlyle imo

the third line under carlyle is used to match up against the opposition top lines.. (carlyle is a known line matcher) and i just dont see bozak fairing well against the crosbys richards staals ovechkins etc of the east

he isnt good enough to keep up with them and he isnt big enough to play them physical

I see late Kaberle part 2 at times....but he's definitely an improvement over Kabby/Beauchemin when it comes to keeping the puck on the correct side of the blue line

Colborne has a better chance to have an impact on the leafs than Kadri ever will.

Why isn't he considered as the potential 3rd line center?

if teams are banking on a strike no need to add salary as "cap floor" means poop all right now.

Bozak is one of those players who can actually turn a bad situation into a short handed goal. I can say that about very few members of the current leafs cast.

Better than Kaberle for sure.

Still can't figure out what Wilson did to Beauchemin to screw him up while he was in Toronto.

I don't think mcclement would handle the top players well either tho And at least having bozak on the third line you'd have the top guys on the other team have to worry a little bit about playing defense especially since he'll have either Mac, kuli, fratt, or connolly as his wingers
