If he does not sign, by September 15th, he cannot be signed or traded, until there's a new CBA. With no CBA, then what do they use as a position to how much and how long you can sign a player? This is why the Leafs are signing AHL type players and not NHLer's right now. - PrinceLH
You didnt answer my question...
If there's no hockey at all this season, is Getzlaf still a UFA in july 2013? |

If there is no CBA and no hockey, by the time July 1st 2013 arrives, he will be a UFA! Only way that he doesn't, is if they move the UFA threshold to 29 years of age in the new CBA. It's not happening! |

Kadri > Crosby, Jesus, Nutella, Megan Fox. - Deadmau55
Just to clarify.
Is the nutella spread ON Megan Fox and is she willing to explore all of the wonderous, magical and fun things that can be done with nutella or it is just plain ol' jar of nutella?
If the nutella is in fact ON Megan Fox, then I think I'd have to give that side a SLIGHT advantage. |

Your welcome.
It also looks like San Jose, Vancouver and St. Louis are part of the Toronto/Boston/Chicago/Detroit faction of ownership. They are not doing anything either. |

This would be perfect... we would have a really good chance to acquire mackinnon which the rates would be very high, most likely we will have a chance at perry and getzlaf if the ducks GM doesnt trade them away or signs them. Then we have some guys who can build themselves up who can play in the AHL like reimer, id even put kulemin and JVR in there to build up their confidence levels. I know you cant fit everyone and i think its a players choice no? If there is indeed a lockout, there is absolutely no need for the long rumours of luongo, huet, kipper, or any old veteran goalie. If anything bernier would be the best gamble and shove in the AHL through the lockout as well if we want to go the route of younger guys. |

Do you ever think before you post? Some of those guys will be in the CHL, guaranteed. Why would Burke waste a year of Rielly or Biggs ELC's by sending them to the Marlies? There's going to be a lockout. Rielly and Biggs will be with Moose Jaw and Oshawa for sure.
You don't waste ELC years on lockout shortened seasons. Those guys were slated to go back even without a lockout. I know you said it's not a proper lineup, but an educated fan doesn't put Rielly or Biggs's name anywhere near the Marlies for next season.
Also, every other AHL team will be stacked too...

Biggs,Rielly and Percy wont be playing on the Marlies.
Rielly and Percy can't. They aren't old enough.
Biggs can, but he has already stated he'll probably go to Jr.
And the Marlies could be stacked, yes, but many players probably wont go down and play in the AHL.
And even if the Marlies do have a stacked team, so will every other team who has players coming down to play.. |

Here is a question, if the lockout goes a full year and a team has say 3 first rounders how would that affect the way they draft the lottery? |

No.
Frattin and KAdri, Scrivens, Riemer, Holzer all past their waiver exemptions or very very close(Frattin and KAdri)
Broll, Reilly and Percy are 100% not eligible for the AHL next year. They can only play juniors or in the NHL. Biggs likely to be in the OHL next year too, but he's eligible for the A.
the guys in the brackets aren't even close to being waiver exempt.
Where do people come up with this nonsense? Why would you spend so much time on a site like this and post so much (with so much conviction) and have no clue? |

I'd think that the other picks would be governed by who originally owned them. |

Exactly.... and Broll is in the boat as Percy and Reilly ect.
Also the Likes of Frattin and Kadri are most likely past waiver exemption, while the Holzers and Reimers and Kulemin/JVR are no doubt past. |

Im not entirely sure, and can't remember. But if there's no CBA and the season is lockedout. Teams can't claim players.
So im going to assume that they can play in the AHL without worry.
Jason Spezza did it, no?
Cammalleri also did it. |

I believe they still can....
Spezza did it because he was still waiver exempt. I think Eric staal too.
