while we're on the topic, the only thing more infuriating than reading allan walsh's tweets is seeing his BS retweeted after you unfollow him.

it is really pathetic how much panaccio and brooks eat right out of the players' and agents' hands with this stuff. either they're both on the payroll, or they're completely clueless that all they are are pawns for posturing and framing.

- OrangeBlack27

Agreed, as I just saw Panotch retweet him twice.

I am sure there will be a rollback. The owners put forth that ridiculous first proposal because they knew they wouldn't get it. So when they move off those numbers by 5 or 10%, all of the sudden they look like they are compromising. The players don't really have as much leverage as they think.

All that being said...if they do have a stoppage, Ill be done with the NHL.

Until they come back then I will be right there watching again...after all who am I kidding?

I happen to agree with Bundy, the owners will get what they want. A rollback in salaries and a larger % of revenue. It wont be the original proposal they just put forth, that was just to make what they really want look reasonable by comparison.
- MBFlyerfan

They are using a pretty shrewd business tactic.. They know full well that their first proposal was way too much.. they also know that by "settling" for a lower roll back, its still a win for them.

I am really warming up to the idea of another year (beyond this one) of Kimmo.
Depends I guess a lot on his health, but he is still really solid. Especially since he'd likely sign for a smaller cap hit.

Yesterday's blog responses made me physically sick.
Seriously Kaberle, Gonchar, Cam Barker, Eminger, 2Real ...
Yuck

Just kidding 2Real, you I love, but the rest of those guys they better stay far away from.

- Marc D

agreed man. i guess you never know what will change, but who is even supposed to be available next summer as a replacement? enstrom would've been nice..... edler will resign

trying to convince kimmo to stick around for another year or two might be the best way to go

Same with the locals...the number of people that RT Carchidi is nauseating.

No thanks to Bouwmeester, Kaberle, or Gonchar. Or any other overpaid veteran. I'll stick with the kids for now and see what happens during the Season.

I've always liked Robak's game as well. Was hoping that Gillis would have drafted him in 2008 instead of Yann Sauve. Was actually hoping that he'd be in any deal, if there is one, with Lu going to Florida.

There are leaders, and then there are followers. If you want to be a follower, I would suggest finding an intelligent leader.

According to cap geek, Bourdon's AHL salary this season would be 105,000 and next year 625,000.00

Why would anyone follow that Harvey Keitel wanna be? Not saying who or who does not, but personally I wouldn't bother.

Despite the hatred towards me, we can all agree that we are blessed to have Bill. For Flyers insight, I don't find the need to "follow" or listen to anyone else. But that is my opinion.

I do follow Dreger via Twitter but that was merely for the trade/FA season. Now I just enjoy Bill, as well as the blessing that is the HB's users posts.

Can't wait for the season. More fun to talk about actual hockey than which D-bag will pass the puck on the third pairing.

Honestly, I was hoping you would say that you are a leader. You are your own man (or woman).

Don't sell yourself short. You are a champion in many ways.

calm down sir
the only thing people "hate" is that for weeks on end, 95% of your posts consisted of Howard Eskin sarcasm, passive aggressive whining about the mods, or which nickname you were currently referring to yourself as.
that's all
