I think that would help the league. Having teams in cities that dont have any type of market and consistantly losing money makes no sense to me.

yea if nashville was eliminated we'd have weber and he wouldn't be wasted in a dump like that

It may well be. I don't think it will cost another season, though. The owners have too much guaranteed money at stake in the NBC deal and the risk of doing irreparable harm to the league.

I can see the season starting a month or two behind schedule.

I can, too. I'd rather it start on time, but I wouldn't be amazed if there's a stoppage

I think they need to get an agreement in place b/c even missing a month could hurt the sport this time around for good.

A little tricky gettimg into details on the ipad. But long story short, it is helpful to have the system profit, excluding salaries, of each franchise and in total for the league.

Determine minimum profit for each franchise, perhaps as a percentage of system profit excluding salaries.

For example, if there is 1000 of system profit before salaries in total, and there are 10 teams, allocate $3 to each team, or $30.

The remaining amount is to br split by owners and players. It could get tricky here. There also may be a form of revenue share to get the math to work.

To be honest, I am too tired to go into more details. Would discuss different methodologies if anyone interested.

Apologize for typos too.

And you watch Owners sitting in their Box? Sorry dude, It's the hockey players that sell the game and are ambassadors of the sport. Last time I agreed with the owners. This time... well I don't know yet. I wonder what the players are going to suggest.

The only thing I'm disagreeing with now is the owners stating that they won't start the season on time if the deal isn't made. Last time it really hurt the sport. And as long as negotiations are going forward in good faith, they should be open.
