Logic is overrated. Sometimes you can overthink.

My wife has never accused me of overthinking, or thinking at all really.

Sounds like most wives. Their always expecting something better but in reality what you see is what you get.

So your not in favor of signing Doan to a long term deal, or to the rumored 7M Cap hit. But you have no problem bashing Holmgren for striking out on Doan?

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman said that the league will lock out its players if there is no new collective bargaining agreement by the time the old one expires on Sept. 15. "We reiterated to the union that the owners will not play another year under the current agreement," said Bettman. According to ESPN's Katie Strang, one of the bigger issues that needs resolution is related to revenue sharing. In the initial proposal, the owners were seeking a decrease from 57 percent to 46 percent for the hockey-related revenue that the players receive.

There's going to be a lockout.

Going off what I mentioned yesterday, I'd prefer Kaberle to Gonchar as well.

Slow news day. I guess it's better than a player getting a concussion during a pillow fight, or someone tearing their achilles doing jumping jacks. No news is good news I suppose.

Maybe for a veteran d-man but other than that, nope.

Homer isn't lying when he says he likes the team.

If I had to choose, I'd choose Gonchar. He is on the final year of his deal. Kaberle has a year left, after this one. I really don't want either right now.
