It's not just the agents. It's the players association as well. They don't like it when players take "discounts" because it gives other comparable players less footing in future negotiations. Also, getting a bigger contract gives the Players Association more power in the CBA negotiations.

Except it would not cost 1 Billion. Look at the Steelers and Cardinals stadiums built. Each were under a 500 million. Steelers was under 300 Mil.

I dont want a palace. What I want. A dome stadium donwtown on the water front.

I would say nothign more than 350-450 million. Its going to take 200+ to renovate why not just go for it and build new? It really makes way too much sense for this to get done.
