i would love eberle...

but it would take a lot

we will have Myers , ennis, hodgson, Eberle for 2009 WJ championship team

- gerbe75pts

Now that I think about it a bit more I would rather Have Hartikainen or Pajaarvi then Gagner. I'm leaning heavily towards MSP.

He has untapped speed. I love this kid. A future center group of him, Hodge and Grigs would be sweet. Gives us the option to slide Ennis back to wing.

Way to think outside the box.

I'll offer 1 comparable city, Pittsburgh. We are behind them in terms of redevelopment but they are great case of utilizing their remaining strengths, having a plan and executing it. Buffalo needs that cornerstone project to boost the interest in down town.

Steelers share their stadium, Buffalo does not, but could if it were closer to UB
They have a nice river walk/harbor area. Buffalo is develping theirs.
baseball parks, naval parks, hockey arenas.

So what you've essentially said is that many (every city) is ahead of us and some of them have new stadiums. Some of them also have never car washes - so what? Government also will not be a driver of economic stimulus. They have to create an environment where businesses will come. Building stadiums, bribing sporting good stores and financing hotels on the waterfront won't get us anywhere.

another thing to consider is maybe Regier wanted to move up a bit and draft Paajarvi in 09 so Darcy could have a hankering for the kid. I would do a deal of Sekera, Pysyk and a pick for MSP and Hartikainen.

I thought we all basically agreed that Ennis on the wing is not nearly as productive of a player as Ennis at center is?

If Paarjavi is so fast aren't we essentially going back to a Afinogenov 2.0? I don't know much about him other than his stats on paper and those aren't exactly

They can build us the frankin stadium. Who cares what the return on the investment is? No one in our govt. gives a poop what they do with our money anyways.

We have enough kids on this team imo. At this rate our average age will be 23.

No. What I essentially said is that we can become pittsburgh type town. They are proof it can be done after declination of the rust belt. You just have to have the right plan in place and then getting enough support to execute it. If you haven't noticed, they are remaking Buffalo, things are happening. Even the Casino is being built!
The only way to transform Buffalo is to get people to go there. Either to work, play or live. The populous of Buffalo needs new blood, with money and a yearning to live in the city. If you woudl rather have miles and miles of trash neighborhoods, good for you. please keep blocking attempts to build another bridge. Many of us want something bigger and better than what we have, get on board or go live in Sloan.

I agree with this... as much as I don't believe Ek or much of anything he says... I am just hoping for the love of humanity that a trade or something FINALLY happens..

MSP is 6'2" so I don't think you could confuse him with Max. He's big and fast and is caught up in a numbers game with the Oilers.

The oilers would love Pysyk. He played on the oil kings this past year and they play in rextall place where the oilers play. So they know he's good and probly liked the way he played.

Sekera: they need a puck moving d right now to make an immediate impact plus a low cap it.

So this trade makes sense. Sam gagne + staff then for Ryan

This all seems to workout.

And the day Darcy does make a move. I would expect a chain reaction of moves / trades

I don't want to see Pysyk just walk either mainly because.. who in our top 6 is Paajvari gonna replace???

Vanek, Pommer, Stafford, or Foligno??

Ott - Leino - Paarjvari doesn't exactly sound great either..

I would make an honest trade of Gerbe, Sekera/Leo, and Adam for Gagner and Paajvari

maybe a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th rounder in there to equal things out..

We could flip Gagner to Anaheim for Ryan.. Gerbe's 1.5M would be gone plus open up our 4th line for the likes of Tropp.

Vanek - Hodge - Pommer
Foligno - Ennis - Ryan
Ott - Leino - Paarjavri
Tropp - McM - Kaleta

no no no not straight up... Anaheim has said they wanted a 2C and that is why they want Ennis or Hodge in all of the deals...

SO maybe we flip Gagner and Stafford for Ryan+

or something of that nature..

I do not have airplane glue over here I promise.

To EDM: Myers, Leino, Tropp, and a 2nd round pick 2013

To BUF: Petry, Gagner, Paajarvi/Harsky, conditional 1st round pick in 2013 (likely in regards to the playoffs), and a 3rd or 4th 2013 or 2014.

Proposed by a EDM fan..

I can't decide what I would vote on this... I would say probably not.. but IDK that 1st and getting rid of Leino are appealing.
