Giving up Enroth scares me (just a little, though), but if the deal is Sekera & Jhonas for Gagne & Magnus, then they should pull the trigger. Wait, just maybe, I've got it....(wheels are turning here)...Darcy then spins Gagne and Stafford to Anaheim for Ryan.

a scenerio like that could play out
what it does is turn some of our defensive depth into ofensive depth, which is supposedly what anaheim is looking for
either gagner or ennis could be the main piece going to anaheim for ryan
all of the sudden, a trade looks much more possible with us acquiring another NHL-ready center
IF this rumor is true: No way Myers or Ehrhoff Move. Everyone else is fair game.
My guess the oilers would want to get rid of is Hemsky. He makes 5 mil a year and next year 2 of the Oilers stars are comming up for contracts. i think its Hall and Eberle?? So the oilers could free up some cap space!
I might give it a look. written in 2007, some things have changed since then but not much - RynoBull
Well it's my opinion that the biggest change has been a mentality change - no longer looking for the "home run" but instead playing "small ball". Case in point, the effort to get Bass Pro here. Too many people thinking their presence would solve the waterfront dilema regardless of the cost it was gonna take to get them here. If that had proceeded I'm sure we'd eventually have another huge empty building once their incentives had dried up.
Instead we have a natural build up of that area via the Harborfest shows, the Liberty Hound, the Donovan building rehab, Canalside is progressing etc. Once the Webster block plans are approved I think you'll see a tipping point where more local bar/restuarant and housing options fill in around there.

i would have to think about myers for RNH - IndianaSabresFan
I don't know if I would just yet. Guys as big as Myers that can skate as well as he does don't come around often.
On a side note, I also hope the Sabres don't get rid of their first round pick this year...anyone read up on some of the prospects? Would love to see a Seth Jones and Tyler Myers tandem although the Sabres hopefully don't pick that high

I know we're all bored silly and desperate to talk hockey. Keep in mind that the next Sabres move that Ek gets right will be the first one. He has never had even an inkling into any Sabres moves.
That said, I really do think something will happen before camp (or maybe more specifically, before the CBS expires).

as for Schumer / Bills: I hope / wish its a new stadium in downtown Buffalo. THAT would be a HUGE cherry on top! Bringing games / other events to a retractable roof stadium would be huge for the area! Anytime you can bring 65- 73 thousand people downtown is a good thing! People will stay in hotels, go out to the bars, and spend money! Then im sure "other events" besides Bills games could use the stadium! - buffalofan1027
we already get A LOT of ppl from out of town at the games
if a waterfront stadium were top happen...
instead of staying for one night, many would stay for the entire weekend
they are adding to the waterfront,
plus you have all the downtown restaurants & the elmwood villiage...
ppl can even check out a Sabres game
think of how many ppl that moved away from buffalo would plan a trip home around a weekend they could catch a Sabres & Bills game right downtown...
i know ppl that do it already, and this would make it much more convenient...
no need to rent a car or figure out transportation
hoetel, BOTH stadiums, food & nightlife all within BLOCKS of each other...
now that's EXACTLY what we need down there!!!
