Schenn is better than Carle defensively. Carle is all offense. No big change there. Carle isn't as good as people think he is. He's either a top pairing dman or a bottom pairing dman. Greater terrible, very rarely Inbetween.
Flyers actually were top 5 I believe in SA/game. Bryz just sucked donkey cock.
Jagr's points will be washed out by improved of Voracek, Schenn, Couts, etc. we played without JVR ENTIRE year, so that doesn't even matter. Fedotenko will prob match those huge 20P he put up.

So 27 teams scouts were wrong, along with several legit hockey insiders...but Michel Goulet knows more than scouts/insiders who have been doing what they are doing for years...
And Gretzky was the best player to ever play the game, yet wasn't that good of a coach...the fact that Goulet got 1000 points in his career has no baring on his scouting abilities...

But goulet did a good job picking out baert and Gaudreau.Way better picks then the Flames had made in previous years at least.

So its a risk, it'll take time, but the risk/reward seems worth it. At this point with the flames any player that isn't ready to produce this year won't save the team. So taking a risk for a high reward in a few years, seems to make sense.

I just figured Flames would maybe make a move to get someone who is near NHL ready...not a min. 3-5 years.
High school numbers don't mean anything...I recall a guy on my high school hockey team who had like 60 goals, 100points in like 35games...didn't even make the OHL...

No one is saying Pens are a lock, but a healthy Crosby makes them the top team in the East.
Flyers are right there with them...but issues with the defence.

We'll miss Jagr's leadership. That's about it. With this Mez injury, I expect us to be around 5-10 GF less than last year. Which would still be top 5 in league in GS.

If Bryz plays better than last year, this team will have no trouble whatsoever finishing 6th or higher. I place my bet on 5th.

its going to harm them this year and prob next year but sutter is going to be decent and what they need for the 3rd line and the have some very nice d prospects so while they won't be ready now they will be effective later on
