exactly.
Flames will want the conversation to START with Leafs 1st round pick and add from there.
And that's right were the conversation should stop.
Just wouldn't make sense for either team to trade for what the other is willing to give/take. - Big_Lightnin

What is this supposed to mean? Feaster has one more Stanley Cup than your precious Paul Holmgen and for the crap he takes here, he has made the Flames younger and deeper in just 18 months.
I think you should elaborate on your veiled criticism of Feaster. - scoot174
Yeah the flames are in really good shape.. |

2. Kiprusoff is a goalie. Check.

If Flames aren't doing a full rebuild (which appears they are not), then why on earth would they even consider trading Kipper?
Without him they would be a bottom5 team... - BoBBeR56
I feel like there was a certain Flames blogger who covered this recently.... |

Didn't say that, but they are in better shape now than when Darryl was let go and they have a much stronger Defense than the Flyers right now |

Feaster has made some questionable moves...
So, in reality, anything really is possible...
That said, if Feaster is not having the rebuild, Kipper won't go anywhere...if he wants to rebuild, Kipper, Iggy, Cammy will be gone. |

yup.
People seem to keep passing the legacy of some Sutter trades on to Feaster. Only Feaster trade that we can comment on really is the Cammy/Bourque trade. And that one was a win.
If anything, calling this a Feasterism would mean that this trade will never happen. He thinks that they are playoff bound

Maybe Kipper and Iginla for Komi straight up? - immature_male
Clever.
Or maybe Ballard & Raymond for Iggy, Cammy and a 1st... |

Hope that is a joke? I wonder why everyone bashes Burke all the time when he doesn't pull off a trade.
Kipper great goalie and Flames won't be trading him. Leafs not good enough to be a solid contender, when they are Kipper will be 37 or so. No point in this trade. |

Does Bobby Ryan have a NTC? It blows my mind that with one of the top-two prospect pools, Garth Snow has not been able to come to terms with the Ducks for a Bobby Ryan trade. He is EXACTLY what the Isles need. A first-line, high-scoring right-winger who can compliment Tavares and Moulson. Plus, at such a young age and with a few years left on his contract, he is the perfect fit. Instead, we're going to let him slip through the cracks and go to a division rival. Poor, poor management in that aspect.
Move Boyes to the second-line center, and the Isles top-six actually won't look too shabby at all. And if Lubo stays after the arbitration, the Isles top-4 on defense looks pretty solid as well. |

It all hinges if Feaster can pry Ramo out of the KHL this fall. He seems very high on him & he he doesnt mind rolling the dice as we saw with his 1st round pick in June. Really, Feaster hasnt made the God awful moves everyone has painted him with in Calgary. Wideman & Hudler signings are pricey but they are upgrades to our team without giving up any assets other than money. I'm OK with that. |

what are his questionable moves?
wideman? ya probably 500k too much based on the current market and could deal without the NMC. But looking at the scramble for D out there he did what he did so that they were covered before the panic started. And now CGY actually has a RH D. team improved
Jankowski? We won't know if thats really panned out for a couple years at least, but it got a 2nd round and with that they filled another void by getting a hard hitting D (I wish they took thrower though). So another weakness fixed and they took a gamble on something thats not going to effect anything at all right now. No kid drafted at 21st would have saved the team anyways.
Cammy, bourque trade? CGY won that one and thats without seeing if ramos will pan out.
Signing Backland, Coumeau, Sarich? they are all cheaper
Signing Stemper, hudler? Stemper deserves it he didn't get a full season. Hudler I'm on the fence about but it adds some scoring.
Losing Joker for Cervenka? Its a possible gamble, but I think Jokers time was done. Sure he did well last year, but I don't think he made them better. For the experience he has his FO's blew.
He did lose some size and gritt on the team, which will become an issue. But really I don't think there's anything saying that the team has beome worse since he showed up. But this year will be a big test of Feaster. If Cervenka, Hudler, Wideman don't pan out. And Iggy doesn't sign. He has failed. |

Nice. Just some blah moves made by Feaster.
Regehr trade wasn't very good.
I still don't like the 1st round pick that he made this year.
Maybe he doesn't deserve the hate, but he does some off the board things (like Flames 1st rounder). |

I think Flames would want Kadri or Frattin in there 2. Then that's getting pricey for Leafs.

Regher was a cancer in the room. In hindsight, the Flames should have kept Phaneuf and shipped out Regher. For years you heard about issues in the Flames room, last year not a peep.... and Regher was awful in Buffalo, too slow on bad knees.
Trading Regher was addition by subtraction |
