got it. |

McNabb, Adam and a pick might get it done.
I'd rather have Briere though - true story. - sambarugh
really? i would much rather have sean.. younger, cheaper and still getting better |

I dont think you guys realize how good Couturier is already and how good he will be in the near future. It was said at the draft he has the potential to be a Eric/Jordan Staal hybrid.
He was the Flyers most effective defensive forward last year... at 19. He battled with Malkin and did a great job negating him in the playoffs. Yet it is his offensive traits that get us so excited. He has 70 point shutdown center potential.
Id move Schenn 10 days a week before Couturier. - jak521
i agree.. i don't think he will be getting moved and i can't believe someone said they would rather have briere over him |

i could see grigorenko being in the NHL as a healthy scratch all season long. Playing in the CHL does not compete with skating everyday with NHL pratices. |

I honestly think he will be the best all around player on the Flyers team in a matter of a few years... |

THAT would be a huge mistake. Nothing can emulate a game. |

This is terrible.
Yep, you're right, the kid will grow by leaps and bounds by not playing in any games next year.
Terrible. |

that would be dumb IMO ... that wastes 1 year of his contract
let him play in the Q with top minnutes |

this makes no sense and does not even come close to having any back up... darcy and lindy always send the players back down.. Myers was the only person who ever even got consideration of not being sent down.. |

I know, I'm abandoning common sense for a Disney-esque storyline of reunited friends and a moral that no matter what, things will always work out if you just believe in your dreams. |

Wow, it's cool that you are best friends with Danny and he shared this personal information with you.

It's well known and well documented from the people who cover the team such as Bill Meltzer that that is how Briere feels. Feel free to contact Bill Meltzer and ask his opinion. |

I don't want to trade for any aging player that will not be in our longterm plans. This team, given a few more years to mature and develop, has the potential to be a perennial contender. We have done a great job of scouting and we have put a lot of money into the player development side of it. Give our kids some time to grow up and I believe we already have the pieces we will need to vie for a Cup.
In three years the roster will be teeming with size, skill and toughness. Provided we retain the rights of all our RFA's, and re-sign Vanek, Pominville and Sekera, and taking into account all the players that would still be under contract, our roster will look something like this:
Ennis Grigorenko Stafford
Vanek Hodgson Armia
Foligno Girgensons Pominville
Leino Adam Kaleta/Tropp
Myers Pysyk
Ehrhoff McNabb
Sekera Gauthier-Leduc
dispute the lines all you want, I am not sure if I even agree with them, but as a group, that is a good bunch, 8 or 9 possible 20 + goal scorers, some capable of 30 or 40. Plus there is a lot of size and toughness.
So as you can tell, I like this team and it's potential a lot. So I am not willing to trade for Briere, but I would trade for Couturier. There are no players on this team that are untradeable IMO. I simply would have to make sure that is goes along with the longterm plans of the club.
Sekera and Leopold for Briere, Hell No!
Sekera, Leopold and Adam for Couturier, Hell Yes! throw in a pick if you need to make it happen.

Honestly.. if you guys are interested in Couts you would be talking TYMY not McNabb. Plus a guy with that last name surely wouldnt get a warm welcome in Philly. |
