Why do you keep saying Ryans ceiling is 30/30 because he plays with Getzlaf and Perry?

that was this past year supposedly... but he still had the 2nd most average minutes per game by a forward for them.. with Getz getting more and Perry next if I remember right..

that doesn't show me that he was getting 2nd or 3rd line minutes.

Still he undoubtedly played with Getz and Perry in the previous years and did get to 70 pts in 2010.

Darcy hasn't done anything of significance this late in the summer since acquiring Lydman in August of 2005.

I'm guessing he tried to make a bigger move earlier and could only put together the Ott deal.

Ryan & Briere and players of that caliber won't be coming here because Darcy refuses to part with the types of assets necessary to pry those players from their teams.

now that Meszaros is down for an extended period of time... all of Philly's trade assets will probably be rerouted toward trying to acquire a D-man to fill that hole.

Anaheim might be forced to accept our offer because they have burned their relationship bridge with Ryan so far that he cannot play for them this year and no body else has a legit offer on the table like we do now that Philly is out.

Ryan will not wear a Duck's uniform for another game... I can almost promise that.

It is either Boston's offer of Krejci+ (no Lucic like they demand)

Or maybe Nashville's offer of th elikes of Craig Smith or Colin Wilson and a prospect or two.

I think Stafford++ is looking pretty good at this point.

or working out a REASONABLE deal for ryan, who is the best player (supposedly) available on the trade market...

good points
saying ryan bounced around is like us saying vanek bounced around, or roy, etc...
the guy was still getting top minutes & MOST of the time with TOP talent over the past few years

sure he got in the doghouse at times
but it's not like he was playing 12min a night on the 3rd line with no pp time on any kind of a regular basis

you might be right
but im not giving up the farm for OVERRATED and OVERPAID guys like stastny & getzlaf that ARE NOT true "#1s"

i'd rather take my lumps for another year than trade 5 possible 2nd liners for getzlaf or ryan or anyone... (unless it's a true #1 like stamkos, crosby, etc... but we know that type deal will never happen)

i think we make the playoffs as is right now
and prob lose 1st round unless miller is really hot

we can always make moves throughout the season & at the deadline too u know?

what are you getting upset about.. I am just merely stating an opinion that I think Ryan has already played with better talent in Anaheim than that of what Buffalo has currently so therefore I think he has his ceiling..
