So it's August 7, and Meszaros is most likely out for the season. Simply stellar.

Nope. None. Of course this happens when all the solid UFA's have been signed. Can't trade for anyone because the asking prices are outrageous. Other GMs will be like sharks in the water preying on the Flyers desperation.

Or I guess trade a top young forward for Yandle, but personally I go with CC, Spacek, or Rosival and hope for the best.

Stupendous. Can't wait for that Gervais/Lilja pairing to take the ice.

think the problem is more based around his complete unfamiliarity with breaking balls. it's over, dude. you don't remake your career at 32 or 33. hope i'm wrong.

Damn, damn, damn! I was really looking forward to Mez having a break out year to shut people up. I’ve always liked him.
I’ll be watching the kids to see if anyone can step up and make a name for themselves.

My guess is if this pushes Schenn up to 2nd line duty, you'll be shouting his name a lot.

Along with a lot of other four-letter words.

What's the asking price on Yandle?
- Flyers_01

Supposedly, when the Flyers inquired at the draft, the price was Couturier + B. Schenn/JVR + starting D man + picks.... in other words, as much as Nashville wanted for Weber. That's why the Yandle rumors died down real fast.

Oh, don't you worry about that. They'll play about two games before joining the parade to the IR.

Is it possible Holmgren addresses Briere to waive to go back to Buffalo? I wonder. That would be in the panic category on surface, but we could certainly use a Sekera + deal coming back our way.

I think at this point if I were Homer I would sign one of the remaining UFA's and then wait and see that the new CBA brings. If there is a buyout clause, you never know who might become available. Redden might be decent at a cheap price... Maybe Florida lets Campbell go.... Who knows. Or maybe Lecavalier gets bought out and you can sign him and trade some of your youth for a number 1 guy.

I don't get the lack of love for Danny in the city that supposedly is named after love.

Yeah, he may weigh 126 lbs., but man does that guy show up every playoffs.
