If we didn't get him and he had the same season with Phoenix as he did here, people would have been calling for Homer's head with boucher showing why he's a career backup and Bobrovsky proving that he's a backup with years of work at best before he can be a starter.

I find it funny that people rip him for the first two months of the season.... He was coming to a completely new team on the opposite side of the country. That new team... was completely new to itself, to the tune of 16 NEW players playing over the course of the season.

Honestly.. I think we arent all that different a group than we were in the second half of the season.

The only real difference is Carle out and Schenn in.

EDIT: And the second half of the season is when Bryz played top 5 hockey.

You could be right. I just think he will have to play like a top tier goalie this upcoming season for this team to have a chance to win a cup. Are they a playoff team? Probably, they have a lot of talent but they did get exposed against the Devils.

For your sake hopefully better than the way GB rallied around their OC when his kid was found at the bottom of a Lake on the eve of the playoffs.

I think he just needs to play the way he is capable of, which is a top tier goalie. We as a collective group saw his first few months as a Flyer and now we tend to base everything off of that sample. We dont reflect on the way he finished.

Voracek is under contract for 4 years at a reasonable price, still young. Jay-Bo is 28, has 2 years left, overpaid, under performing. Meszaros should be able to play later on this year, so Philly doesn't need to go for a big name dman.

I agree.. and i never talk like that about the eagles. They are probably the most offensively gifted team in the league... and their defense got a whole lot better this off season.

I'm a believer in Bryzgalov I just think he needs to play even better this year for this team to have a chance. When you compare the team from last season to this season they are equal or worse. They will need to play better as a team but the goalie may have to carry them this season also.

He came up with some huge saves and also made some horrendous mistakes. I think we would have seen the same from Bobrovsky/Boucher.
