I do think Miller's swing was more reactionary than premeditated based on the timing. He swung while still falling down. I think that was why he didn't get a suspension for it. I'm not saying that's right or wrong, but that, along with the PR nightmare that would ensue probably didn't make a suspension a good idea.

I didn't have a problem with Lucic not getting suspended, but Brendan Shanahan's explanation of "I didn't suspend him because Lucic told me he didn't mean it" insults my intelligence.

The kicker is after that hit, if you take out the 5-1 win over the caps, the sabres scored 14 goals in the next 8 games

It's bad enough that the core did not respond to the hit, what makes it ten times worse is the team crumbles for weeks as their response

Same thing seems to happen in games, sabres have a lead, pommer gets his bell rung and the team crumbles and loses the game

It's a tough one. They also had as many as 11 regulars out at one time during that span. Now, I'm not saying a lack of injuries would have made everything just fine, but I think it was more of a perfect storm than there just being one reason everything went south. The Sabres did have some issues in the toughness department, but not enough to make them the 15th or 16th in the conference at one point. Injuries at the worst time also had a lot to do with that, and made the issues worse.

And hopefully "plan B" isn't going into the season with said lineup. I still feel like there's work to be done with this lineup. It's a very uneven roster.

Richards’ ex-girlfriend, Rebecca Bell, said she only dated Richards for one week and barely remembers him.

“We didn’t even really date,” she said. “We talked at a party for a few minutes way back in, like, the 9th grade, and he asked for my number. I gave it to him to be nice, but after he called me, like, 100 times in a week, I got a new phone and never talked to him again.”

Richards, who stood on Bell’s front lawn hoisting the Cup victoriously in the air as he stared intensely into her front window, said she is just in denial.

“What we had was love, man,” Richards said. “Yeah, we only talked once, but I don’t think there’s a time requirement when it comes to love.”

Despite Richards claims of amour, Martin Bell, Rebecca’s husband of four years, was not pleased by Richards’ actions.

“I’m gonna kick his ass,” Martin Bell said as he stormed across the lawn. At that moment, Richards ran away, still holding the Cup in the air as Martin Bell chased him, threatening to inflict bodily harm.

Within a matter of moments, police arrived on the scene and restored calm. And after taking some pictures with the Cup, Kenora police offered not to arrest Richards if he just left the area.

“I’m leaving because I love her,” Richards said as he stepped into the back of the police car with the Cup in his arms. “And when you really love someone, you sometimes have to let them go.”

“Freak!” Rebecca Bell responded.

The only fight I've seen Bergeron in he had a one-punch take down because the other guy didn't know Bergeron is left handed. Probably one in a million that Bergeron would win a fight but somehow he did.

Edit: it was not a one-punch takedown like I thought, they did exchange a couple.

You must have missed the fight where Kaleta dominated Dorsett then. Kaleta is a better fighter than most people think. He's certainly not the best by any means, but he's not completely terrible either.
