He toned it down in the second half of last season. Thing is, he plays better when he is edgier, like Marchand kind of thing. I understand why people hate him, but it's difficult to take anything you say about the Habs seriously, because of how much you hate them.
Leafs suck, BTW.

Yeah, and it's difficult to take anything you guys say about the Habs seriously too, because you drink so much koolaid.

The Habs and Leafs are two of the more passionate fanbases out there. With that comes quite a few fans who get carried away. If you look through my posts, I have a fair amount of posts cutting down Leaf fans that have gotten carried away too.

ALL fanbases do the same thing with their own team. They overvalue guys all the time - that's what being a fan is all about.

No one shows more passion than an Oiler fan.

Not the Oilers. Nothing but class in our line up. Always been that way.

I'm all for Hab and Leaf bashing. I'm just trying to keep the Oilers in the Oilers thread. A couple of misunderstood players you have pictured here.

Howard only drinks the Washington Nationals koolaid, realistic hab fan he remains. A few blips on the radar concerning Cammy and Kovy, but otherwise realistically sound.

Messier awarded $6 million settlement in a grievance over money he claimed he was owed by the Vancouver Canucks.

THANK GOD! I was a little worried over Messier's finances... I'll sleep well tonight.

- laughs2907

He should use that money to buy he dignity back after all those chip commercials.

That or get hair.

Dave Manson was misunderstood, those two, they meant it.

The Oilers have had their share of cheap shot artists. Lowe and Mess weren't angels out ther either. I like that type of player. My old Manson sweater is one of my favs.

I'd say he'll use the majority of this money on paying bills. I heard he owes a few months of cable bills, and his landlord has been bothering him for rent the last two months.

Tim Thomas finds Messier more attractive without hair.

I do believe Dave Manson was off his meds some games. Grimson and Probbie were big and tough, Manson was bi-polar.

Had some kids with a kool aid stand by my place last week. 1 buck? (frank) that.

I feel the need to bring affront the fact that Subban is still unsigned. Any player, regardless of skill, is worth less when in 'contract limbo'. There is a good amount of risk associated with acquiring a player without a contract signed. For all we know, Subban might not want to sign in Edmonton. We couldn't be sure. Subban is looking for a significant raise whereas Yakupov just signed his ELC.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, were Yakupov to be put on the open market, that would likely generate a whole lot of interest, thus a bidding war may ensue. While the same could be brought up about Subban, his contractual status could be a detriment to certain teams.

For those reasons- and a few others- I maintain that a 1 for 1, Subban for Yakupov trade would be a lower value trade for the Oilers. I refuse to say it'd be a bad trade as acquiring a brilliant, young defenseman like Subban would truly fill a hole for Edmonton, but in our case, I'd rather we just wait another year or so and raise the value of all our current trade pieces (i.e. Hemsky, Gagner, etc.), and see if we can fill those holes with one of Justin Schultz, Oscar Klefbom, and Marty Marincin.

For a buck I wasn't checking it out. These Alberta kids are following the lead of big oil on their profit margins. I drove home and had a rum and coke.

I would Subban and a first for Yaks. Allot of Oiler fans would disagree with me though.
