If the Oilers want D that bad, I'll gladly take Yakupov+ for Subban. I would think it would be straight up, NOT Yakupov+.

I dont believe either team wants to take a risk on this deal in any way, unless they are forced to, could bite either of them in the ass big time.

no chance ... subban while very very good does not have anywhere close to the same ceiling as yakupov.

if the oil decided to put yakupov on the market they could garner alot more than just subban... the market would drive that price up

its silly i know.. but true

Good point, I think they would want a pick or a prospect added in the trade, like Subban and Tinordi for Yakupov, or MTL adds their 1st round pick.

I'd prefer the habs rolled the dice on that d tandem for the next ten years.

Messier awarded $6 million settlement in a grievance over money he claimed he was owed by the Vancouver Canucks.

THANK GOD! I was a little worried over Messier's finances... I'll sleep well tonight.

I understand why they don't like him. This six million just opened up old wounds for them, kind of funny.

Autograph session and United Cycle. But it's obviously just a cover so he can take a look at the city before he forces a trade here a la Pronger

No, you made the mistake of grouping me in with the "shEEp" of which i am not, i likely look to the habs almost as negative as you do, i see their faults too, including the players, despite being a fan, i remain a cynical one, that hasn't changed and likely wont anytime soon. Unlike most i saw them when they were a great team, a team that contended and won championships, savvy? So if you don't think the last 20 years or say ain't been a female dog, then you're wrong.

Surely been a great ride on that bandwagon i can assure you and a great time to cheer for the habs in general. PK needs to settle down, and when he does, if he does, and focuses more on playing and without the bs, he could be a force. Will or if it happens, is all him, he has the talent.

Where did I group you in with anyone????

I said "many Habs players", obviously meaning "many Habs fans". I don't think I grouped you in anywhere.

I actually really want to go through the Maritimes at some point in my life. I was able to travel through the majority of Canada when I was a younger single man with few responsibilities but now that I am married and have more grown up occurrences in my life the opportunities for travel have become fewer and fewer. The Maritimes are high up on my list of destinations though. They are above Mexico that is for sure and say that in a positive way. I have no desire to go to Mexico ever.

I'm pretty sure both destinations are good for a week long bender

Okay? So, to paraphrase, you agree he’s not the “mega-star” that some think he is. Good then? You’re being a little more realistic than many fans (which, agreed, happens in every fan base)

There is nothing in that statement that says I originally thought you were one of them. Only that you agree.

I'm going back to Cabo this winter. The prices are great right now, I highly recommend it.

Ahh, I assumed by "about his life", you meant I was referring to off-ice. I follow now. For the record, getting his head smashed in, also referred to on the ice. I'd like to see him get some retribution, as it might get him to smarten up.

I don't like him because he's a dirtbag, and I think dangerous. There are plenty of Habs that I don't mind. I've said many times in many threads that
- when it was done, I liked the Cammalleri signing
- like Beaulieu, think he's a solid Dman prospect.
- wanted Galchenyuk, and thought the Habs did very well this draft.

You can think what you want. I say what I honestly think. A good portion of it has turned out to be quite accurate, regarding the Habs.

- prock

He toned it down in the second half of last season. Thing is, he plays better when he is edgier, like Marchand kind of thing. I understand why people hate him, but it's difficult to take anything you say about the Habs seriously, because of how much you hate them.

Leafs suck, BTW.

I have agrEEd that he has done very way in the way of warranting what some hab fans have built him up to be thus far, yes. However the leafers and every other team out there is doing much of the same, sometimes worse. Gardinorr? Schenn? It comes with the territory of sports.

Not the Oilers. Nothing but class in our line up. Always been that way.
