You people are on crack.

Intellivision ruled.

NHL Hockey.

NFL Football (which kinda sucked).

MLB Baseball (which was awesome).

Skiing.

Auto racing - and you could drive off one track and get onto another.

And the best of all time: Truckin'.

Atari 2600 sucked.

the criticism is not in the moves he's made but the direction he's decided to take.
- DoubleDown

I argue he hasnt really taken a direction...hes getting there, but to date he really hasnt taken a "certain direction".

If he resigns Iggy, it may be cause he wants to keep him, or Iggy dosnt want to move.

If he extrends Kipper, it may be because their prospects are not ready or the offers for him stunk. Its tough to gauge what a GM "wants" to do, and what he "can" do.

Hes actively shopping Jbo, thats for sure.

You learn fast young padawan.....if you would have started at age four...maybe you'd be NHL quality.
- LeafsOwnHabs

I'm 5'-11 1/2" 195lbs. That's small for the NHL haha, I probably could have done OHL if I worked my ass off but I doubt NHL... not to mention I don't come from a wealthy family.

Edit: but appearantly my Dad was an NHL quality goalie in his day, and my uncle was NHL level winger. Both got married and quit trying haha.

I think back all the time and I have no (frank)ing clue. Finished college and just started playing and watching, no looking back. I play days a week in the summer and 4 a week in winter. I've caught up to all my buddies who used to play rep and some of them JR. C. It's great.

Wow, so just one day you decided you don't like the taste of Richard after all! Sounds like a success story you could us to make some good money as a spokesperson for one of those Baptist homosexuality curing programs.

I played a lot of hockey, since the age of three...played as high as you could play, save for pro levels. But it was soccer that I could have possibly taken a little further...I played for provincial teams and on highly ranked traveling teams until I broke my foot twice...the second time right before playoffs where a lot of attention would have been had.

Doctor told me it wasnt wise to continue considering how many times Ive injured my right foot.

Since this has turned into Flashback Friday, who here was on the thread where we were talking about crappy electronics from Consumers' Distributing?

About two hours after going home, I remembered the "brand name" of electronics for their stereos and walkmans:

Jutan International Limited. Or JIL.

I never owned any of it, but man, I'll bet it was good.

It certainly can! You need to be twice as good as a guy who is twice as big as you to make an impression.

I stopped playing competitively in highschool as I found most teams I tried for would select guys bigger than me, even if I was a much better player. The last team I got cut from chose a big 6'2 kid over me even though in the final game of the exhibition tryouts I scored a goal and got three points...he got none but could hit guys.

Watched their first game, and the guy couldnt even skate backwards. Played a level lower and they called me up 10 games in....I told them to go $&*# themselves.

So I spent some time in the NHL.com comments board last night...big mistake
They almost all have no idea what they're talking about.

One Canucks fan was trying to draw similarities between bruins and Canucks players and said Schneider = Rask (fine) Marchand = Burrows (uh no) and wait for it wait for it

Kessler = Bergeron

The stupidity of that last one made me leave and not even waste my time responding
