A few names I'd consider above a few of your choices are Joe Thornton, Anze Kopitar, Jamie Benn, Rick Nash, James Neal, and Ryan Getzlaf.

Honorable Mentions: Brenden Morrow, Ryan Kesler, Nathan Horton, Corey Perry, Johan Franzen, Patrik Hornqvist, Andrew Ladd, Shane Doan, Ryan Malone, Troy Brouwer, Ryan Callahan, Dustin Brown, Evander Kane, Vincent Lecavalier, Ryane
Clowe, and Mike Richards.

Iggy. Guy is more consistent than any player mentioned here.

Yeah a lot of these got flash or can really throw down but I'll take the guy who has consistently led his team, scored 30+ for 11 seasons and is a force on the ice.
If Ovy ever completes his transformation to being a more rounded player, than I may start to think of him as current while Igs start to look at retirement.

If Ryan Clowe is the best PF in the league then I've clearly been watching a different league for years.

What about them? They may have had down years, but all three have performed well enough in the past to warrant a placing on his list. Besides, it's just his opinion. I can't see why Clowe is on top, though...

That list looks like it is the best PF between the years of 1985-1998

Clowe might be in the top 10. Morrow might have been 2 years ago. I think Stewart might not be in the top 15

Interesting lists. I really like Clowe but I don't think his stats warrant him being the #1. Only played one full season in his life and doesn't even get 60 pts....

I'm sure someone has already mentioned this, but no Dustin Brown on this list is a major oversight.

Current PFs, doesn't mean best of last year or two. It means players who are still active. My list is basically best 10 still active players and ranked by what they have done in thier careers to date. I would do one correction though, I should have put Iginla at the top considering this logic.

After all it is just an opinion. Some would see PFs as the3 toughest forwards (hits/checks and fights) orthers sees them as big scoring forwards that are hard to intimidate and so on. Definitions will always vary.

might as well put Probert and Semenko might as well be on if Lucic is. Sure he can fight but he's not close to the guys on this list.
- Bieksa#3

Probert was on the way to being a hell of a hockey player, before the drugs, alcohol, and he made himself known as the leagues heavyweight champion, check out his stats, almost 30 goals, and had 60 points one year.

Perry had an awful yr last season. I consider him the best. 35 goals and well over 100 pims every season. Hart winner, Stanley cup winner and plays best in big games.
- Bieksa#3

69 hits and getting pummeled by Datsyuk begs to differ.

After mulling the thought through my head, I've come to the conclusion that, despite his low hit totals, I'd include Ilya Kovalchuk. He's incredibly strong on the puck, he's consistent to the tune of 10 consecutive 30-goal seasons and 8 consecutive 40-goal seasons, gets played in all situations, has shown the ability to work the front of the net (albeit not in NJ), works in the corners, shows willingness to fight, and- while he may not hit often- when he hits, you know it. Thoughts?

In the past or recently? I'd say recently it would be his stats that left him off that list.

My point is Lucic has no business on this list. Sure he,s a great fighter but way to many aspects of his game are far to weak to be the best power forward.

i said morrow and stewart aren't on that list, he said no it means over their career. So if it's current PF's all time he should be in the conversation even though he's a 34 point guy now

i'm just so pissed!
