Anyone mention Nathan Horton? Hate the guy but I think he could make this list.

Getzlaf no. Being 6'4 doesn't automatically make you a power forward
- Oil_Addict

Getzlaf is more than just a 6'4 hockey player. And yes he's a power forward...his stats back that up (besides last season).

Just because he's good along the boards doesn't make him a power forward. Trust me, I've seen a few of his games

How is that funny? Lucic is on the list and either player hasn't scored 65 pts yet in a season. Both hit and fight. What am I missing?

If Kassian got his game together. Otherwise slap a tuna sandwich and that is a scary line anyways.

I think it's safe to say we've all seen him play a few games too. According to Esplen he chooses Backes as the #1 PWF because "He hits, he fights, he scores, he checks, and he leads his team". Where does Getzlaf fail in any of these areas? Sure he doesn't fight as much but when you're a potential 90 pt scorer, your coach is telling you to stop dropping the mits so let's not hold that against players. Getzlaf also hits, checks and is the captain therefore leads his team. Hell put Perry on the list too. In fact I'd take Perry over Backes anyday.

I define a power forward as someone who can put up the points, and is also able to go in the corners, hit hard, and also take pishment ot make a play.

I think owan nolan is probably the best all time power forward so I'd always compare against him. Gary Roberts a close second.

I think Ovechkin is probably the best now, although i think Jonathon Toews should get some honorable mention here.

Lol ok then I can agree I see where you're coming from then. I only mentioned Horton cause Lucic was on the list but frankly I'm in the same boat as you.

well Getzlaf isn't a 90 point guy anymore, 75 points would be a good year for him.

-11 so not really a checker. Fights somewhat.

Ok so may not be the 90 pt guy anymore but I would expect at least 70 for being a first line center. +/- stat very misleading. Anaheim sucked last year which could explain a poor +/-. Which zone is he taking the majority of his draws? I'd be interested to see his CORSI.

Benn is probaly my favorite NHLer right now, I don't think he quite belongs on the list of the best yet, but agree he'll be there soon.

If he plays with Lou all year and maybe with Jagr they should put up some points.
