Kesler is not ahead of schedual. His agent squashed it and reports of a second surgery(which is not news). There was a Canuck inquiry into Arnott reported the day before confirmed by agent... Kesler is out till sometime in Dec at least. They have to be looking past just letting Schroeder run the 2nd and 3rd line. With or without Doan a depth C is needed. Schroeder and Malholtra are a gamble.

Whats with this management rushing Kesler? Funny how the blame gets put on him for coming back too early yet here is the Kesler camp putting the brakes on after what Gillis said.

Agreed, and hopefully we already have Lacks replacement.

I read a few months back that the interest was more towards bringing back an NBA team rather than an NHL team. Still, they would use the same stadium and Seattle is a sports city that has money.

No doubt. Two sports teams in an arena is certainly better than one where revenue is concerned. Plus it'll be a much quicker payback period for the arena owner with the 2 teams.

Aside from the fact that it would awesome to have a division rival in Seattle, I really do think an NHL team can be a success in Seattle similar to San Jose. It has all the ingredients (major corporates, affluent city, populous city) as long as the arena is built in the downtown arena unlike the Coyotes.

They lost 7.8m last season but they're still 16th in the Forbes list of NHL teams. They're not Toronto successful but they have been a success story.

It might be the exact opposite. As we seen when they were in the conferance finals with the canucks, they don't have a ton of fans. Trading your "franchise" player would probably make it worse. Combine that with no revenue from playoffs and u have disaster. Perhaps luongo becomes more attractive?

I define a power forward as someone who can put up the points, and is also able to go in the corners, hit hard, and also take pishment ot make a play.

I think owan nolan is probably the best all time power forward so I'd always compare against him. Gary Roberts a close second.

I think Ovechkin is probably the best now, although i think Jonathon Toews should get some honorable mention here.
