To everyone who keeps commenting about Garths incessant Doan talk, I offer these points.
1. What else is there to talk about. I assume that Garth wants people to read his blog. In order for that to happen he has to make a blog based on an a topic that will have people interested in reading his blog. Besides trade talk, which Garth also does regularly, there is little else to report on, besides signings(he wrote about Kaleta), trades ( wrote about Bobby Ryan, Stastny et al), and FA's of which there is only one that is still out there that would be a major upgrade to the tream(Doan).

2. No one is making you read or comment on these blogs, If you are tired of hearing about Doan, then simply don't click the link anymore.

Many of you sound pathetic and it seems to me that you think it is in some way humorous to criticize Garth for his reporting on Doan. Garth is doing his job and doing it well. Every blog I have read from Garth about Doan has offered new information on the topic(albeit often times not much) but still enough to justify him reporting on the topic. The fact is that Doan and his agent have both stated that Buffalo is in the running, which makes Garth's reporting on this topic both valid and necessary, even if it bothers some of you to have to read it.



I think I can speak for a faction of Buffalo fans, as well as myself, in saying that I appreciate Garths reporting. I think he does a great job of regularly and consistently reporting on the topics that are most salient to us as Buffalo Sabres fans. I do not mind the typos in his blogs as I realize that his focus is on content, and rapidly conveying that content to readers is what I care about, not the fact that in haste he make some typos.

I think Garth is doing a great job, and is one of the most dedicated bloggers on this site in regards to consistently and expeditiously relaying information to those of us who depend on it for Sabres news.

I thank Garth, both for myself, and many others.

i respect your opinions but the vast majority seems to feel the opposite way, did you see the other post i made a few ones after the one you quoted?

you can find doan updates anywhere and everywhere, that doesnt mean create yet another new blog just about him

its gotten worse than the kovy saga with the devils

I sure hope they get it settled. They aren't even talking about using the top NCAA referees. Most of them have contracts and many of them have hopes of making the NFL someday without being labeled scabs.

Darcy is so tight lipped but hearing him talk about Doan, I don't think he wanted to give a lot of details but I think he is all about getting him.

It doesn't matter anyways. All the refs in the NFL are there to do is backup the quarterback and the passing game and make sure it reaches its full potential because thats what the tv networks want.



Like how the NHL has an unspoken rule on how many penalties should be called in a game or how many against one team in a row, no matter what is actually happening on the ice. Or how in 05-08 diving was a consistent call and now no longer exists without any formal announcement.

Could it be possible that the people who are posting on here do not share the same point of view as the majority of fans? Maybe because there are some of you on here who consistently bash Garth, there is an atmosphere where those that agree with you speak up and make their voices heard. Those who don;t agree with you are too reasonable to argue with people they feel are irrational.

The people that post on this site, do not in any way represent the majority of fans. Instead the majority of fans have left this site, because it is not worth their time arguing with people who have no facts to back up their contentions, and basically believe things because that's what is comfortable for them. You all know who you are.

The next time I hear from one of you bashing on anyone(Garth, players, mgmt) with actual facts and logic to justify their point of view, will be the first time.

p.s. sorry for the essays, there is just some part of me that feels if I am making an argument against a previous post, that I should actually back it up with an argument, facts or logic, something more than "because I think so, so it must be true"...

i was talking about the majority on here and the "seems like" is a generalization not a fact

you are the only one i have noticed that has a view that isnt the same as many of the other posters on here, it seems like a good chunk of them are tired of having the same stuff (doan) shoved down their throats and that its gotten pretty old with all these doan blogs

im sure they wouldnt mind an update on doan and his possibilities of going to buffalo, but why have a whole blog about what team he is visiting other than buffalo? there is a difference between covering a subject and forcing it

from what i can tell is a large chunck here are tired of the doan blogs, how much more can they talk about it? until he comes to buffalo, or signs someswhere then there isnt anything on the matter that hasnt been discussed already so thats another reason why people are getting tired with all this doan stuff

the fact is, its been way overplayed, what new thing can you say about doan and his situation that has changed since his last doan blog? not much, he spent time in vancouver, great but again thats not buffalo

edit: also no one would complain about garth if he wrote good blogs most of the time, you dont see people complain and joke about bill meltzer, travis yost, and some others, because well their blogs are informative and tell you how it is
