We all know that Frans is no way a second line center. We all know that all the kids will get a chance to make this team and the best ones will. We all know we are going to go into the season with a young unproven team. So need to fight over who is going to make the team and who is not

What are the attributes for a 2nd line centreman, as opposed to a 3rd line centre?

second line should be more of an offensive role, they are the second scoring line

A third line center should be better on the d side of the puck.. which FN is VERY good at. The third line is traditionally a shadow line that is sent out to shut down the opposing teams best.

So how many points do you need to be considered good enough for a second line centre?

yes kabanov was a model citizen this season and was praised for his two way play and unselfishness play during the memorial cup

I have heard nothing but great things about him. He is playing awesome staying out of trouble and could be the sprk plug we have been waiting for. I for one would love to see him with the big club next year

You nailed it xx Frans actually when he first was calle dup was a third line center and was awesome. Due to not having enough talent the Islanders had to push him up to number two which he ahs played decently enough but was not built for it. He is a great pk and defensive type guy who can on a great year chip in 20 goals.

On the second line you expect at least 25 - 30 goals with about 30-35 assists. I dont think Frans has that in him and that is ok

Maybe but lets see how he plays in camp. He might just wow everyone and make the club. You should know by now that the AHL for some prospects are optional

Jordan Staal would be the perfect second line centre?

People may hate me for this but I still say he is overrated just like his brothers. Never understood the Staal love affair.

Brad Richards. Hes a good second line center imo not a first line center. I think Strome can become a perfect second liner for us but as of now we have none.

Oh... I thought we were rebuilding through the draft.

How come we can't afford any real talent?
