We all know that Frans is no way a second line center. We all know that all the kids will get a chance to make this team and the best ones will. We all know we are going to go into the season with a young unproven team. So need to fight over who is going to make the team and who is not

i don't think anyone is expecting him to be pavel bure...he'll go to bport and if he earns a call up he'll get it...what is your problem with that?? he's a third round draft pick...if he pans out great..if not...he's a third round draft pick. petrov might be better but he's not here..so he's not worth talking about

Being that they talked about him every year and counted down the years till his contract was up, id say its a big deal considering he's the most NHL ready of any forwards the isles have.

have you seen him skate?? its at best below average..he is VERY north south as well..i don't think he can create for himself..also he is not a puppy being 22 already..i hope i'm worng but at this point i don't see it..he will hopefully leave after this year and will need at least one year in the ahl..your looking at 24 before he hits the nhl..i dunno
