here are some sports I do not care for at all at the Olympics. I'm sure there are more but those are just off the top of my head:

windsurfing

archery
shooting (pistol)

Too many swims. I mean Usain Bolt does not run the 100m, 100m backwards, 100m side shuffle. Use any technique you like but get across the pool in the fastest time possible. |

It is, but I don't see the point execpt to have more medals/competions. I mean if a shark is chasing you, you won't backstroke your way to safety. |

this is a very good point.
aside from ping-pong, badminton and other sports asians are good at, most Olympic disciplines can be used to face or flee great danger.
