Tender didnt exactly deliver either. Despite the hype, which is my point. Only a matter of time before the media puts Galy's potential too far out of reach too. - shinebox
The fact that he's not a Franco and not from the 'Q will help.
Being a franco on the Habs is a lot of pressure right now, you always have to answer questions, you can't run away.
Once we eventually get more than two on the team, good franco players will come, because the pressure will be splitted by the number of frenchies. |

totally disagree. respectfully.
as long as plekanec, desharnais and eller is on this team come september, galchenyuk will not get 9 games. maybe....just maybe....a couple of exhibition games. - rob121
Who's your 2nd line LW? Bourque? It's ok, but not ideal.
I'm sure they'll try Galchenyuk there. |

Yeah but the wop didnt, cause he wasnt french? - shinebox
D'Agostini did better than most 6th round picks. He was inconsistent and unable to keep up with the play on most nights. Had a few hot streaks but just couldn't produce regularly. |

Patience from fans and media will be important this season.
So far, the only move that could be questionable is Therrien. I can't see how recycling a coach, especially in Montreal, will work. I hope I am wrong. - Ultimate Cyberhabs
you're not wrong. therrien will be long gone before the habs are "for real" contenders. he's the sacrifiial lamb and the only significant "public relations" move the canadiens brainust has blatantly made. |

On the 3rd line, Tender could do it getting top 6 minutes, no matter how much they tried to push him to be something he was not. |

The key is having the right frenchies. I would say that scouting the Q in a meaningful way is a step in the right direction. |

Next year:
Bouillon, Leblanc, Desharnais, Dumont, St-Denis and Bournival will all play games for the Habs.
You can also add Mike Blunden who was born in Montréal.

No impact players, except DD. It's not only the quantity, it's the quality.

I think he's there to straighten up the ship and eventually the players will be tired of him and they'll bring a player's coach (Lefebvre who's in Hamilton next year?) to replace him.
That's what Therrien did in Pitts. |

wow!! you're surprisig me.
right now, bourque is auditioning for the role of wingman for plekanec and gionta. no way the canadens ask galchenyuk to play lw on that line or anywhere
i'd see prust there before galchenyuk any day. galchenyuk has to go back and prove himself worthy of a #3 pic.
end of story!
