Agreed. But he seems to have a lot of determination. He could surprise...

Yeah he has a lot of drive. Good for us if he's too good and they have to keep him. I just hope he will be consistent and the media won't jump on him like hungry lions.

Same here but the other side of me has doubts that he would be able to handle a full season after being out for so long.

I would think he starts the season but gets sent down to Sarnia after 9 games.

You're right. Reason says let him play in Junior one more year.

Yup. So far Bergevin has done very good. I have a lot of confidence in him.
- QuebecPride

He has done very well, but i am waiting for the other shoe to drop yet. I know it is coming, just a matter of time, i hope it isn't PK....

Latendresse and D'agostini?
- shinebox

shine box, you're gonna have to do better than that.

latendresse was doomed from the start and d'agostini is a 3rd liner at best. let's not glorify gainey's understanding of hockey op's.

He will get less pressure than Latendresse, but D'ags just didn't deliver the effort on a nightly basis. It's not because of the pressure that he's gone, but because he didn't do what he was asked to.

Don't get me wrong. Nothing would please me more than for him to force management to keep him. I haven't been this excited about a prospect in a long time.

Tender didnt exactly deliver either. Despite the hype, which is my point. Only a matter of time before the media puts Galy's potential too far out of reach too.

Patience from fans and media will be important this season.

So far, the only move that could be questionable is Therrien. I can't see how recycling a coach, especially in Montreal, will work. I hope I am wrong.

15 goals or so in each of his first 3 seasons playing on the 3rd with not PP time.
I say he delivered pretty well for his age.

I have to remain true to my values bro.

Besides, I thought the difference of attention garnered between the two languages would be bigger.

Pretty close so far.

What do you mean? He will play 9 games during the season and then they'll have a tough decision to make. He would be better off in the OHL, and it would be better off for him in the long run. The media won't give him more chances than anyone else because he's young, he will actually have less shots to impress since he's a top5 pick.
- QuebecPride

totally disagree. respectfully.

as long as plekanec, desharnais and eller is on this team come september, galchenyuk will not get 9 games. maybe....just maybe....a couple of exhibition games.
