It wont happen no matter who is in power. They are not about to bite the hand that feeds their campaigns.

They payfor the clean up, which is cheaper then it is to maintain it. Oil companies are willing to take that hit when it comes, and there are no amount of fees that any government is willing to charge them that will make them change their minds.

Mount Pearl in true baywopish accent, you want distinct mother(frank)er? Let me drop you off in Shea Heights around 2 am. You star in track in field perhaps?

Are you kidding? You don't think this team gets in the playoffs with Kipper starting?

Not only do we get in...we do some damage with Kipper.

Oh my! How delightful.

Anyone point out the string of missed playoffs and first round exits?

leafs fans just don't get it. kipper, luongo, would never be the goalies they were. when you enter the leafs culture, you are carrying around the loser tag. losing is ingrained. no player will change that. look at burke. he was a so-called winner and then.... badabing-badabang. he's a loser now.

they don't need anyone to corrupt their regime. they're seperatists and ethnophobic. that trumps them all.
- rob121

I was at a local sports eatery in Quebec i used to frequent, listening to a bunch of old hockey fans i knew rather well, and they were crapping on the city of Montreal really badly, and praising Quebec City up, so i asked them why they loved Quebec City and hated Montreal so much? They said (and i quote) " Because it's white, and it's French". That pretty much said it all right there...

Funny because it's the complete opposite.
