New releases are where you save money, or books still in hardcover, from 30+ in the store to -10 online.

Profit? I am more thinking about how people and more to the point kids, don't respect what is just "given" to the them. If they are paying for it themselves, they will think twcie about skipping class and wasting the oppurtunity that is given to them.

Think of all the people that you went to high school with that wasted high school, and then never went to college and are still burn outs working at mcdonalds. Do you really think that if those kids were given a free post secondary education, that they would have taken advantage of it? Maybe a handful that truly couldn't pay for it would had benefitted but the majoirty of them would had wasted it.

You should focus more on the capitalist angle of this debate, Huile. That'll really get QP riled up.

It's just weird to me. At least musicians can sometime benefit from piracy as it helps them selling show tickets or merch. Writers are just being raped.

They were against the increase yes, because the government refuses to rethink his budget and look out for losses (for example the 26k subvention Fred got while the cap was 25) instead. He prefers to bring more money and put raise on the students who for the most part are already in debt for half of their career.

Correct your budget first, make sure the money you give for a service is indeed going there in total and not lost in bureaucracy and then come back at us.

The Universities aren't in lack of money, they just prefer investing in research before investing in teaching. Research is much more profitable, but that won't create many doctors, unlike teaching.

Hey hey I cleared that up, it'S the TPS credit we get back from the governement. I'm all legit, somewhat.

Think of all the people that can't afford school that come from a poor family that would probably be better society contributors than richer parents that can afford to send their kid in law school.

Do you really want your society to miss on that?

You get some and you lose some, that's sure. Depends on your vision dude. Whether you prefer not to pay for the scums that use the free education or you accept these because you think there's more honest people that will benefit from it and become society contributors rather than hamburger flippers.

I love how oilhabs thinks that kids that skip highschool all the time end up going to university only to skip more classes.

Yeah I knew that, Charest wants to unfreeze the 7$ fee right?

But then again I think QS wants to charge 50$ a day for 100K+ income

- Fredobbface

Yup Charest wants to increase the fees, even if it's profitable for the province to have it at that price
