Debout means Stand.

Well the girl can't stand since she's in a wheelchair.

And usually you want to make your slogan so people recognize themselves into it.

Obviously handicaped people somehow can't

It's ironic because QS are one of the most socialist party here

Pirated books, eh? Wow, humans suck.
- Le_Moderateur

I'm talking on behalf of a (cheap) friend who bought one and let me try it. I don't pirate books.

Dude Education, after health, is the most important thing.

You have to open your mind and stop always thinking about making profit.

Education is a right, and a more educated province will make better social choices and logically more money.

So all in all it's benefical for the community to have a more educated province.

Don't see it as an spending but rather as an investment. The guys you pay taxes for will be your doctors, advocates and such later. Might as well educate them well, and make sure good candidates aren't left on the side because they come from a poor family.

Due to Adam's superlatively pleasant request, I will not comment on this post.

have any of you guys seen these Keirin short track cycling races? strangest thing.

basically it's an 8 lap race but for 7 of the 8 laps they have to pace themselves behind some old guy on a moped who rides in front of them... lap 8 he gets off the track and they all sprint to the finish.

1. Baby is doing well.

I think she looks suspiciously like Rick.

2. She's great.

debout means "stand up"

people in wheelchairs, generally, can't stand up

apparently that's hilarious

- DoubleDown

Dude I speak for myself but I doubt people are laughing at handicaped people, but rather at the situation. It doesn't mean something to people in wheel-chair, for the actual meaning of the word.

It's just weird to me. At least musicians can sometime benefit from piracy as it helps them selling show tickets or merch. Writers are just being raped.

I have no idea. And I find that a big jam-packed bookcase in a living room is a nice sight to behold.

I thought it was 5 laps that the old geezer riding the moped looking like he poop himself was riding out front? Might've been 7. I think it's just for the excitement factor...once Sir Robert of Dangleberry gets out of the way, that last lap or so is pretty intense (and I don't even like cycling).

classics are usually free since they are public domain. regular books you will usually get for a couple of bucks less than the bookstore but not that much.

Profit? I am more thinking about how people and more to the point kids, don't respect what is just "given" to the them. If they are paying for it themselves, they will think twcie about skipping class and wasting the oppurtunity that is given to them.

Think of all the people that you went to high school with that wasted high school, and then never went to college and are still burn outs working at mcdonalds. Do you really think that if those kids were given a free post secondary education, that they would have taken advantage of it? Maybe a handful that truly couldn't pay for it would had benefitted but the majoirty of them would had wasted it.

And he's so expressionless...

I think the knees-out pedalling reinforces my theory that he's riding 5 laps with a load in his shorts.

Yeah I knew that, Charest wants to unfreeze the 7$ fee right?

But then again I think QS wants to charge 50$ a day for 100K+ income

New releases are where you save money, or books still in hardcover, from 30+ in the store to -10 online.

So the protests about tuition fee increases, weren't actually about tuition fee increases?
- 3M

They were against the increase yes, because the government refuses to rethink his budget and look out for losses (for example the 26k subvention Fred got while the cap was 25) instead. He prefers to bring more money and put raise on the students who for the most part are already in debt for half of their career.

Correct your budget first, make sure the money you give for a service is indeed going there in total and not lost in bureaucracy and then come back at us.

The Universities aren't in lack of money, they just prefer investing in research before investing in teaching. Research is much more profitable, but that won't create many doctors, unlike teaching.
