I know I'm late to the party, but is that really necessary?

People were falling over themselves trying to defend 89 from those type of unnecessary attacks yesterday. Multiple people went on and on about how, this is a discussion blog, why can't we all share our opinions.

But I see really what we meant was if you're a regular or share a popular opinion you're free from harm, but damn you if you don't agree with the majority.

The dude doesn't mind Garth's blogs and posted about it. He wasn't exactly being inflammatory.

Why can't we take the advice we were readily giving out yesterday, and just respect each others opinions.

A lot of people complain about the quality of the discussion lately, but I don't see very many people leading by example. Just complaining about the "new guys" and being equally as hateful.

He is CLEARLY smiling.. which means he loves his life in SJ and it is attributed to the happiness of his wife and also directly to his marriage as well. He has started a family in SJ with a googly eyed kid and a weird dusting cloth piece looking dog. He is even wearing an affliction button up shirt. He would hate Buffalo.

My source informed me the term being discussed in the Ennis deal was 2 years. No word on the $ amount yet. #Sabres

Its stupid to only sign Ennis for a 2 year deal if the difference is less than 500k per year.

4 year at 2.65M per was turned down by ennis...

I think we'll make one more move before camp but it won't be Doan or Ryan. I do expect a lesser move, probably a player of need. My guess- Sam Gagner.

isn't it obvious? He knows where the pot of gold is. He is just making sure every other interested team has a chance then when he lands in Buffalo he will know all of his options.

Either that or he is begging other teams to up their offer so he isn't forced to come to buffalo because of the rediculous money on the table.

maybe i should have said significant other... sorry.. Either way the fact that garth continues with stupid blogs is a known thing, therefore the constant ripping of him for the same thing is stupid and the defending of him is even more sstupider.

Hockey Insider?? I would be willing to bet the Ennis deal is 4 or 5 years. It makes no sense at all for the Sabres to give him 2 years. And it makes no sense for Ennis to take 2 years. If you consider the uncertainty of the CBA and Pegula's willingness to spend, they will ock Ennis up for 4+ years.

Lets sign Jonathon Cheechoo to Rochester on a 2 way deal. Guy is solid in the A and obviously has skills in the NHL but he just decides not to use them. He made 600k last year.

I agree.

I didn't mean to single you out, just intended to speak towards a growing trend Ive seen on these forums.

Seems ridiculous the same people who are complaining about the quality of the discussion aren't exactly helping the discussions get better.

Also seems ridiculous that people are so quick to defend one poster/opinion and so quick to damn another
