You spent too much money on candy and not enough on comic books. |

Hmm...seems as though I missed some good Oilers fan debate on comic books eh?
Morning - Colin Dambrauskas
Wow, that last 3 pages of this thread really explains a lot about the City of Edmonton and Oiler's fans.

What are you high??? DC is terrible, The green lantern? The green arrow? Aquaman, the guy who yells at you from the ocean to come in the water and he will fight you? Superman, the guy who nobody can tell who he is cause he wears effing glasses, not to mention, im invincible except for this lil green rock that cannot be found on earth yet somehow there is some kind of conflict in each comic. Yeah those are soooooo much better than Spiderman, Wolverine, Ironman, The Hulk and even Blade. You were correct on Star Wars and Sega Genesis. So 2 out of 3 aint bad i guess. - ruttager17
DC is so much more than the big characters (who still have better story lines than marvel), pick up a copy of Animal Man or Preacher. DCs epic stories are amazing, read Crisis on Infinate Earths, Kingdom Come, or JLA The Tower of Babel series. Read anything that Alan Moore wrote for DC and then tell me what Marvel has that can stack up against it.
The Green Lantern Universe is amazing, it's DCs answer to Star Wars. Totally epic story lines, amazing characters. The Sinestro Corps Wars, Blackest Night, and Brightest Day are all phenomenal.
Comparing DC and Marvel is really like comparing Dracula to Edward Cullen. |

The lack of diehard flame posters on here show the lack of commitment they really have to their team |

A lot of DC Vertigo stuff is better than most Marvel and Batman has had many great writers. Other than some Batman, Marvel is generally the better superhero stuff. Darkhorse has some good titles too. |

Batman is the only reason DC is still relevant. I can't wait to see DC tackle a Justice League movie. Who really wants to see a movie about the most useless super hero ever (Aquaman)? |

Yeah we get it, Earth 2s version of GL is gay. Your almighty Marvel comics has gay characters as well. It's an interesting plot twist, and Earth 2 is actually one of the better comics coming out of the new 52.

Civil War was an excellent series, Mark Millar is awesome and Marvel did well to steal him from DC. He is the new Alan Moore, his best stuff was either Civil War or Superman: Red Son. He is responsible for the whole "Ultimate" series for Marvel, which is basically making Marvel more like DC including introducing the multiverse. I will be interested to see if he tries anything like Crisis on Infinite Earths to clean up the Marvel-Verse or if it will just be canon and non canon.
EDIT
now my question have you read Kingdom Come or Infinite Crisis? |

Marvel has had multiple timelines and realities for a long time.
If you havent you should realy check out things like House Of M and the entire Decimation story arc. The recent Schism and Utopia story arcs are outstanding. Yes, Im partial to XMen. They just seem to get it right a lot. Dark Reign was great too. Norman Osborne is one of Marvels most useful characters.
I give honorable mention to the Onslaught Saga back in the day. Gimmick or not, they continue to use Onslaught and he's one of the most badass villains ever.
To whathisname who called me a fanboy, I started collecting during the Mutant Massacre. So eat me. |

Can you guys do this conversation without using the word 'gay' to mean bad? As far as I know, Northstar is pretty much the only gay superhero. Let's keep homophobia and comic fandom separate, shall we? |
