BREAKING:

NEW YORK - Snoop Dogg says he was "born again" during a visit to Jamaica in February, is changing his name to Snoop Lion and is ready to make music that his "kids and grandparents can listen to."

The artist known for gangster rap is releasing a reggae album called "Reincarnated" in the fall.

The West Coast rapper held a news conference in New York on Monday. Later he played five songs for a small crowd, including one called "No Guns Allowed." It features his daughter.

The album will be followed with a documentary of the same name. It features him making music and will include some personal elements of his life, a producer of the film said. It will debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

The biggest question mark of Philly's Blue line is their Health, not their skill. With Schenn, Grossman, Coburn, Meszaros and Kimmo, the Flyers have arguably one of THEIR best Shutdown D Bluelines in years (they've been way gung-ho about puck moving D), and while Mes and Kimmo are the only exceptional puck movers it is worth noting that almost all of the Young defenders (Gervais, Bourdon, & Gus) have offensive upsides to their game. The 3 question marks are Kimmo's Health & Age, Meszaro's Back and Grossman's Knee. Of course if that's the case, should'nt we be also freaked by Giroux's Wrists? Over the past year we have lost Carle & Pronger but gained Grossman & Schenn.

While I think this shift will not be good for Lavy's attack system, I think it will help Bryz a lot.

Dodgers would have to tender him a qualifying offer that could be one year and average of 125 outfielders in baseball which is reported around $12 million
- sulshawn

That was in the old CBA. In the new CBA, on top of that, teams cannot receive compensation for players unless those players were in the organization for the entire year prior to their free agency. The Dodgers receive nothing if Victorino walks.

this list probably has something to do with it:

Obviously. But right now, they have to add 3 outfielders and a 3rd baseman to put a good team on the field. All the while already having 135M committed to 10 players heading into next year. Unless your counting on Dom Brown.

Glad Brown finally got a shot. I hope he stays healthy and tears the cover off the ball the next couple months.

Even if Brown doesn't pan out, they have a platoon option with Schierholtz. He's the best defensive right fielder they've had in a while.

The people who are familiar (Heyman, Rosenthal, & Salisbury) with the Phillies organization are saying that Dom Brown is better suited for CF. I think the Phillies plan on playing him there.

ya supposedly dom is significantly more comfortable in cf than either corner spot. wonder if there's something to that. makes some sense that he can get better reads on balls from there opposed to the corners.

Any idea what the Phillies end game is here? To get younger? Why not trade Utley so he can DH?

It seems that were in purgatory - not rebuilding but horrible. Hope this works out.

Utley is damaged goods. Not sure a team wants to spend 15M again next year on a player whos knees are shot. I would unload whatever I can at this point. The Phillies should have no untouchables other than Hamels.
