Alright you got me. the only one I can think that would be available is Tim Conolly. Who has a nasty cap hit for his recent production.
Other than that... nothing. |

I was going to say I am the one who is not high on the Sedins but you two were having so much fun. I have to say I was impressed with their leadership this year. - VANTEL
They are great on ice leaders thats for sure. I don't know if they have a strong enough influence over some of the immature bahavior on the team at all tho. You see that some of the players just slide right into it and there is no amount of *leading by example* that can be displayed to right the ship. Would that change at all with Doan? I think so. The Sedins and Doan would make for a complete leadership package.

I seen what Buffalo was offering to get Ryan, and we would essentially be trading Jensen and Edler for Ryan . At the same time we are getting rid of LU
We take Hiller and a good D prospect and trade for a 3 rd line center that has 18 goals and a LHD to play with Garrison
Ana get stronder and Tor Gets their goalie and a 6'3 Dman ready to make the jump. |

Burkie is a used car salesman. He has failed so bad , that now he has started to Wag the Dog . He has them drinking the kool aid ,that they don't need to make the playoffs. He has tricked them out of being hockey fans . Can you imagine if Chicago or Vancouver miss the playoffs. We are screaming for heads. He has not come close to the playoffs and now everyone there accepts it like the Pittsburg Pirates. At least the Oilers with their years of misery they have promise and players to show for it in their roster. Toronto only have a pocketful of excuses and nothing hopeful in the near future. He has them preaching what he is spewing out to them. |

Im sorry I dont save every single article I read or PVR all the hockey shows. It was mentioned numerous times on TSN and on the radio that Bieksa would be dealt if a suitable deal was uncovered. After salo got injured near the deadline they stopped shopping him denying this is just ridiculous and ruins your credibility. - Bluechip23
There wasn't a single mention by a credible source of Bieksa being traded this previous season. Not one. There were many the previous year, but not in 2011/12.
Just like your claim that Vancouver fans were calling the Sedins busts, and that they wanted them traded
Edit: The Bleacher Report is about as credible as Ek. |

BB is old school, his time has passed. The league doesn't operate the way it used to, he's a dinosaur! Our teams weren't successful when he was here and we still aren't successful to date. I hate that (frank)in loud mouth wiener |

this is another one.
Without a no-trade clause in his contract with the Canucks and seen as an emerging offensive defencemen throughout the NHL, Bieksa was routinely the subject of trade rumours. - Bluechip23[40] In the 2009 off-season, one such trade rumour was central in a feud between general managers Mike Gillis of Vancouver and Brian Burke of Toronto.[41] On a Leafs TV documentary on the 2009 NHL Entry Draft that aired in September 2009, a segment involves Burke speculating that the Canucks had offered Bieksa to the Tampa Bay Lightning in a package that included forward Alexandre Burrows and a first-round draft-choice in exchange for Tampa Bay's second-overall selection.[41] The documentary was immediately pulled from airing again and the Maple Leafs received a warning from the league.[41]
You said they tried to trade him "all of last year." 2009 is not last year. |

Most people ignore him now. I remember 2 or 3 years ago at the draft "I'm going after the number one pick. Same as this year. Everyone is tired of his Schtick |

No kidding. My favourite last year was at the deadline when Burke said "he owed it to the fans to give this group a shot and not give up on anybody". All I hear in that is "the core of players, paying fans and owners are not worthy of playoff hockey". How does he sell this poop?
I know there are a lot of TO fans who don't buy one bit of that but it's just underlines how little credit Burke gives the fans and media. |
