People seem to be harder on Kesler and AV than myself these days. I may be more critical I guess but I've done a better job resisting the name calling. I don't feel the need to defend them though. Their act is catching up with them.

1 hour isn't an option and there was a post that was definitely ban worthy. The point I was hoping to make is that he was fine until and after that post and that the kind of treatment he had received prior was also inappropriate.

What is everybody's thoughts on Hansen?

Does he still have the fight an grit in him that he once had?

I personally love the guy, not just cause he is danish, but because of his energy level and his aggressivenes. But did he sustain that energy this past season?

No one retained energy last season. They just went through the motions and somehow managed to win more often than not.

Florida has to improve in some way. Their division has gotten tougher. Honestly people will argue that they made the playoffs this past season without Luongo but I can't see a way in hell they do it again with their current lineup. They need to make the playoffs again and gain some momentum with that fan base.

You didn't understand my point. Most Canucks fans dislike some of Kesler's antics for sure. That is absolutely not why he was not getting chosen as MVP -- it's simply because he had a lousy season. It's that simple.

As for the reference to oilers players (Gagner and hemsky), it was your weak 'logic' that claimed Kesler was being mentioned in trades because of his character. It would then follow (from your own weak 'logic') that must be the reason why Gagner and Hemsky are always mentioned in Oilers trades. Got it now? In both cases, any trade talk has to do with improving the team -- obviously. Now perhaps you have a clue too?

It's been status quo pretty much all summer. In a summer of few dealings there are apparently even fewer rumors as Ek's blogs have now turned into a series of opinion or "what if" discussion pieces.

It's just becoming too difficult for GMs to make a hockey trade or bolster their teams in any significant way without players on other teams demanding to be traded. Too much weight on the draft now. Given the lottery aspect of the draft, I don't like it.
