He could step right in when Kimmo leaves.

Enstrom is probably more offensively skilled that Edler IMO, but his overall game is different than Edler's.

That's what I was getting at, but I STILL don't think Elder is a Norris capable Defenseman. More consistency isn't the issue, it's the issue if he's able to carry that team and not be a beneficiary of the team's overall skill.

I agree with this.
However, some guys never get it. Look at Phanuef. Guy should be a top 5 defense an in the league. Big guy who hits,can shoo, skate and has a mean streak. But is dumb as a stick. The majority o 10 yr olds have a better grasp of the game then him. As a result there isn't to many teams he'd be the best defenseman on. He got the money in hopes he'd learn.

ESPN had him on their top 5 list for the majority of the last 2 seasons. It's certainly not a stretch. I'm not surprised you would say this, however, considering your disdain for everything Canuck related. Clown shoes.

he's asking for the moon if he leaves but he'll take less to stay in phx.

jamison, the potential owner, was supposed to let doan know how the ownership negotiations are going so that doan would get the glimmer of hope he's looking for to stay in phx. the fact that jamison didn't even call doan suggests that the deal is probably going to fall through. in any event, it was a rude thing to do (imo) to a player who has given a lot to the franchise.

The good Edler is as good as any defenceman in the league. The passive sad looking one isn't much worth more than Andy Sutton. Thus is the enigma.

kind of early, and its obvious he will be resigned/given extension once luongo is gone.
