i feel like getz would want to play here long term, and i definitely think we can sign him to a long term deal...before the new cba comes out even...just to sweeten/frontload the contract to him. he could be a great asset to our team for the next 10 years.

i think Hodgson has a bright future at center then Ennis ...... just let ennis go! hes had 25 games at center and really hasnt proven anything yet in the NHL.

I would agree. A center group of Getz, Ennis and Grigs would be awesome. You could roll 3 lines effectively. Losing Vanek creates a hole on the LW though.

IT WAS 25 GAMES .....not the entire year or even half a year!!

Hodgson is a natural center: Good on draws, smart, good hands, good shot, and a PASS FIRST guy

Ennis: Not good on the draws, shifty, puck pocession forward. Ennis is good in space ....that doesnt mean hes a good NHL center.

He wanted more ice time ...... but couldnt get it with the center depth the canucks had. Hodgson wouldve been stuck as the 3rd line center till his contract ran out and he didnt want that.
