Sabres are not in the top five choices for Doan. No way we are if he is visiting other teams... but NOT Buffalo.

My guess on his team interest in order: Phoenix, Vancouver, Rangers, Kings, Flyers, Habs.

Yeah. I guess it was yesterday. Multiple tweets. Who knows if it has any legs, but I think the initial deal was Vanek, Ennis, Leo and a first (??? not sure if I'm 100% right, but I think I'm in the ballpark) for Getz and Ryan.

If that deal is actually on the table, Darcy better pull the trigger before Doan gets signed, or we'll have much competition and I'm sure the asking price may go up.

thats a pretty fair trade IMO. i think that vanek ennis and leo for getz and ryan is a wash...so basically we're just throwing them a 1st rounder to get it done ( if thats the actual trade) i'll do that allllllll dayyyyy

I find it hard to believe Ducks would accept that. Getzlaf is the best player in this deal by a country mile. Ryan and Vanek are close but Ryan is younger with a better cap hit. So Ryan would have better value trade wise. After signing Souray and Alen I believe the ducks need for defense is gone. Your probably looking more like

as the season went on, he got better...not the quality we were looking for..but on the right line..leino was above average. especially behind the net against the boards digging for the puck....silky mitts...

Sabres wouldn't make that trade because it leaves them even more shallow at center. But I could see them giving up Vanek/Stafford, Ennis, Gerbe, Brennan and a 1st for Ryan and Getzlaf

yeah, he did get better...which is good...kinda figured it would take him some time to adjust to all the changes that happened...

They are also rumored to covet Ennis, and Getzlaf is a free agent at the end of 12-13. Perhaps they feel they cannot sign him, therefore the urge to strike now.
