I would say Regier has made more moves than any other GM in the NHL with the possible exception of Holmgren

Very true. A lot of teams female dog about their GM's. But after last summer, I'm pretty sold on Darcy. Brought in necessities in Regehr and Ehrhoff, went aggressive at potential talent in Leino (it's the thought that counts) traded a likely third liner for a top 6 center, a top 6 defender for an unsigned rfa, and an outdated Roy for a real team intangible guy with offensive ability. YES he hasn't done "the big one" yet, but all of his trades are very shrewd and he doesn't lose often. I doubt that proposed trade is real. I just can't see it. It also so happens to blow Read, 1st, Laughton, and Mez out of the WATER.

If they were asking for Krejci and Lucic from Boston, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they want Vanek,Sekera...although a 1st is a lil much

Think about for Vanek, Sekera, 1st round pick seems like way way too much. It seems like a deal for Getzlaf / Ryan together.

Why is a first so much? Unless you plan on drafting in the top 5, it's like baseball's draft, a crapshoot. Draft picks in the NHL are way too overvalued.

If it's true... I'd do this in a heartbeat. Open up some spots on the starting roster plus getting a solid 1st liner back. Maybe throw in another D prospect instead of a 1st round draft pick.

Nope...give them the first. If that's the offer, and the Ducks accept it, Darcy already wins the trade. The first round pick is the only thing of remote value and it's not even that much.
