ok then - Buffalo--Sabres
Fun fact: the whole pussified notion in youth sports that everyone needs a trophy, win or lose, started when youth soccer started to become popular in the US.

Christ, sorry man, I was just being proud of my country for a second. jeeez.
Wow thanks for the insight. Sorry i am backing a good hockey player with good playoff stats as well.
And making the point Kassian is garbage, wow you have really taught me something today. - Morskdog89
The only reason I am with trading away Ennis is that we drafted to huge center in the Draft and one or both can be playing in the NHL this season and if trading Ennis bring Ryan Then I would do it.

Did I call Ennis a star?? - Morskdog89
I also have not said Ryan was not better than Ennis.
I said I would not include Ennis in a huge package for Ryan.
Then i backed up my opion why I wouldn't use Ennis. I also want Bobby Ryan, so I'm not sure why you are getting bent out of shape. This board is for opions and hockey talk, we don't need people that love to argue and attack. Chill out dude, I like Ennis and you don't. I don't need to attack you and act you are an idiot.
It doesn't matter if he's on a line with Getzlaf or Perry or not. The fact that they are on the team means teams game plan around those two, not Bobby Ryan. He flies under the radar, so to speak. If he's not on his line, he faces weaker matchups. If he is on their line, the focus is still on the other two because they can do more damage. Think Vanek Roy Afinogenov in 2006 and 2007. Does that mean Bobby Ryan won't help this team, or be a tremendous asset? No, it does not, but to dismiss the fact that he is on a team with elite talent such as Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf, whether he was on their line or not, is very shortsighted.
Think of it this way: if you're playing the Ducks, who are you going to put your best shutdown line against, Getzlaf and Perry's line, or Bobby Ryan's line? Unless you are throwing the game for betting purposes, the answer is always the former unless you're incompetent. - buffalofan19
I won't deny that, but when you are looking at the way that Anaheim has coached their team... They try to cycle Bobby around for that very reason. In this process, you are losing the fact that he is THE focus on the ice with the other lines. Putting him out there with the likes of Matt Belesky and Nick Bonino and a 3rd Defensive pair... who does the focus shift to? Are you saying that the team, regardless of who is on the ice will focus on the other two forwards, or will they realize that the one who will make the play is Bobby ryan? It's very frustrating to watch a ducks game for this fact. Bobby gets mauled over by "fans" here because he doesn't produce like he is assumed that he should. However, if he had consistent linemates I think his goal scoring would be in the upper 30's.
He is goes from playing a few shifts with Perry/Getzlaf to playing with Koivu/Selanne which has a COMPLETELY different dynamic. Then he gets shifted to playing with Blake, Belesky, Bonino, Parros, Smith-Pelly, Pelly or any other of their bottom six combination that night. The shift that he sees is "for his benefit" but it really hinders the attention Bobby sees on the ice. Any defensive pair would love to have Bobby Ryan all to themselves. I don't think we can doubt that.

Kassian was awful from day 1 and overrated by all Sabres fans for 2 hits ....
And now this guy is trying to tell me Ennis is some kind of star player that we shouldn't trade away.
Bobby Ryan has the better future, more skill, and much better overall player then Ennis will ever be - buffalofan1027
He's not telling you that Ennis is a star player. He's simply stating his opinion. It's not directed at you. He's entitled to give it, just like you're entitled to give yours. Stop posting in such a condescending way and people will appreciate what you have to say so much more.
Not trying to start anything, just pointing out where the contention is coming from.

Thats's fair, I think if we did trade Ennis this year it would be a mistake in my opnion. I just would not want to start the year with 2 rookie centers that are 19 on my opening night.
But I could be wrong if that worked, I also realize that next year Getzlaf could be available and we could go for him. I want Ryan as bad as any of you, I would just try to use other pieces not named Tyler Ennis. But if we use him in the trade and we win the StanleyCup, I would be perfectly happy and say. "man I was wrong when I said not to trade Ennis."
I'm a Sabres fan more than an Ennis fan. Whatever works best for the team moving forward I can get on board with. I just think Ennis with Ryan and Foligno as a line would be nasty. Ennis would set those 2 up everynight and those 2 can worry about the hitting and finishing.
