I don't post alot, but I read the blogs and the comments a ton. And you are correct, you will be jumped on if it happens without Ennis.

Its crazy though, you are just stating what you believe/hear, and what people don't realize is that may have been true until last night. Nobody but himself knows if/when the Ducks GM decides enough is enough, I'm not getting Ennis, what else you got?

- markyjoe

I have no problem with folks not believing me I don't just throw names out there when ever I see fit, just posting what I heard and I won't post who I heard it from. But i'm a big boy and will admit if I'm wrong and i'm still sticking with what i've said, it starts with Ennis for Bobby Ryan. Now maybe Darcy will be able to "sweet talk" Bob Murray the Ducks GM but I doubt it.

True. My point was more being made for Brennan. He's just been down there way too long. Like we need more offensive dmen. 2013 I can totally see Pysyk and Mcnabb here for Leo. I don't think Regehr will leave either. Leaves Sekera's spot open. Both young D are/going to probably be more valuable than Weber.
- TheSabresTaco

I saw quite a few Rochester games this year and Brennan has a good shot, but he's more of a two way guy than an offensive d man. He also plays with an edge and hits and fights in Rochester. He's got a lot more dimensions to his game than people think.

I absolutely read the posts, you cant think of things being so absolute as in Benn will say no. I would love to have my brother come work with me, but if another job came up on the other side of the country offering $7 million dollars a year, I just might consider it.

And as I said, if nothing else it would put some heat on Dallas to potentially overpay to keep Benn.

I do agree, however, a large part of my opinion is that Darcy doesn't agree with offering RFA's a contract. I wish he would tho.

I'm starting to wonder whats going one because signing Ennis shouldn't be this difficult. Then the lingering Doan situation too? Its all wierd.
- Buffalo--Sabres

What I think is that Ana wants Ennis and that could be holding it all up.Ana would want him to sign a Ana deal and not a Buffalo deal.

Honestly, if it was a different GM in Anaheim, I might agree, but he's not exactly a great GM. He's made some pretty interesting moves that I don't think have been beneficial to the team. Ever since Burke left, he's made probably at least 1 move each year that has left me scratching my head.

Now, he's not Howson terrible, but I would have faith that Darcy may be able to pull something off.

I did not know that. I would think though that it might have an effect on Hodgson, since him Gerbe and Ennis seem to have forged a relationship when Hodgson got traded here. Hodgson said how much they made him feel like he was a part of the team. He said he never got that kind of treatment from any of the guys in the Vancouver locker room.
- HonkFortheGoose

If NHL net replays anymore Sabres games, if they win, watch the last guy off the ice with Miller, almost always Ennis. You know how Ryan is about leaving the ice surface.

I would agree, except that in this case he doesn't have to do anything cuz Ryan is under contract

Im thinking something along those lines too. I hope the pot is very sweet for Buffalo. I can't imagine trading Ennis is what they really intend to do. Unless of course the Ducks are making a big push for him.

Actually, last year Ryan had 113 and Stafford had 102. So, really not much of a difference.

Admittedly I haven't seen more than 5 roch games. I'd like to see them more often. But do we need him over Pysyk and McNabb? Just tryinbg to make a case that if we were to start moving defensemen, and it's blatently obvious that at least one needs to go. I'd start with Brennan. I personally think that of right now he may not be as talented as leo, he has much more trade value.

No, he doesn't. But at this point he knows that Ryan is pissed about the way everything has gone down over the last year or so. He feels like he's not wanted on the team and would probably rather start the season off somewhere that he feels appreciated.

He'd probably be easier to move because he's probably the most NHL ready. He's played 3 years in the A at this point. In order to send him down this year, he'll have to clear waivers. I wouldn't want to see them trade Pysyk or McNabb, but if they traded Brennan I wouldn't be all that upset. He does have a really nice shot from the blueline though. Has a way of getting it through the mass of humanity that is always in front of the net these days.

I did too. For about 10 minutes. It's one of those things I like to watch, but only for short stints. It's good background noise.

Yes, I agree. The fact that there's no urgency acts almost like "dummy insurance" for Murray, lol.

The great thing is we are one of the few teams supposedly after Ryan, Darcy has to find a way to get this done.

What you meant to say was: everything except the playoff numbers, of course. Right?
