What does it say that no matter who the Flyers top player is they always seem to have a major issue with Crosby? Forsberg to Richards to Giroux now?

Not saying he isn't a tremendous player, which probably has something to do with it as well... but it's a pretty interesting thing to follow. Even back to when Hatcher smacked Crosby across the mouth when he came into the league.

Not at all. It's the Flyers vs. The Penguins rivalry and Crosby is a mainstay and large part of the battle.

Hey now, the Penguins are not the Oilers. Besides only Crosby is an actual #1 pick.

Fleury was traded up for and Malkin and Staal were #2 picks. The same pick as JVR.

There has never been any ongoing issues like there has been with Crosby since the minute he entered the league. I'm not even referring to "dirty plays." per se. Early on in his career with Forsberg and Hatcher and even into the issues with Richards it was about the way he carried himself on the ice. During the Richards time in Philly and now into Giroux it has kinda shifted towards the dirty play.

I just find it interesting that from one captain to the next here in Philly, they have all had big issues with Crosby... yet like you said Malkin may be the dirtier player and never has there been any ongoing thing with Malkin.
