How can anyone respect Sid after this disturbing news...What a hack...
- Flyfreaky

I'm sure Bobby Clarke respects the hell out of him.

It's our turn to prance that thing around...I just hope Claude's wrists can handle the weight...
- Flyfreaky

I'm sure his wrists would magically heal if that were the case. The summer on a hockey site is tough, when stories like this make news.

But I love that the picture is black and white.

Have you forgotten about Web...oh.

I was really hoping you guys would get Weber, he'd look really great in LA paired with Doughty...

Oh well, I guess we'll have to settle for Giroux. He sure will look good holding the cup.

That's what I mean. Hockey is turning into soccer. Really? A player is hacking another one over the course of a series? Say it aint so.

Mario would love todays NHL.

Flyers Fan here. Not sure why Giroux is complaining.

At least Crosby didn't donkey punch him in the jewels.

Exactly.

And he's linemates with Hartnell, so he doesn't need to worry about getting bit.

Like a scene out of the pathetic movie Goon...the Flyers win the Cup and they hand the Cup to Claude and his wrists snap and the top of the Cup cracks off and rolls to Pierre McGuires feet where he peers creepily into the Camera and says this is what this game is all about.

Can he be officially renamed Claudette?

And Flyer fan call Sid a wussy. He never blamed his lack of production on anyone else.

Lack of production? You must be confused...

It's OK. I think a bowl of Wheaties may help.

He only had 3 more points than Crosby did in the second round and had a lower +/-

That's because his wrists were broken.

Seriously, Giroux is a monster. Much like Crosby he just needs to stick to letting his play do the talking.

How is signing the most talented remaining UFA fwd to a 1 year deal @ 7mill so attrocious when the team was some 4-5mill from the cap floor?

1) Its not a long term commitment or financially restrict the team
2) It doesn't present any cap issues
3) At worst its a great trade piece if they fall out of the playoff race

You just sound like a bitter whiner that he didn't choose Pittsburgh.

I agree... it's funny watching Flyers fans defend him after calling Crosby a whiner all these years.

Agree, you can't go wrong with a one year deal...
