Tedenby will never be a St Louis besides being as small as him thats the only comparison, St louis has a hell of shot that helped him. Tedenby can and will be a solid 15-20 goal scorer in the NHL. As for the guys left on Free Agency, Id say re sign Sykora and thats it, and Id much rather have Tedenby or pretty much anyone off our Albany roster over the those guys from FA. The Devils aren't going to make the playoffs this year and its becoming more and more apparent that Lou is perfectly fine with that. We lost Parise Ponikarovsky and if we lose Sykora we are looking at our goals dropping by about 70 plus next year. Sign Kostitsyn? He had what 4 goals last year. Huselis ? He had 20 something like 2 years ago. LOL id rather just hold on tight brace for the Eastern conference cellar and hope for some good draft picks. I wonder if Zajac will start building his house in Minny this summer only a season left till he can sign back with Parise. .. If we stick with this roster its going to be a rough year. Hate to be like this but something tells me the biggest news us Devils fans are going to get this summer besides our big splash early on letting Parise go to Minny. Which still pisses me off that Lou fumbled that, I remember Zach saying at the like 3/4 mark of last season that he was ready to sit down and talk extension, Lou wanted to wait and look what it got us, well the other big news will be on that August 15th deadline the NHL gave Vanderbeek. Lou has seemed confident throughout but does he have a choice to be anything but, he can't come out to the press and be like yeah well we are actually pretty effed at the moment. So likely they would wait until the last day deadline day and the Devils can announce in some fashion that Vanderbeek is a horrible owner we are in tons of debt and whos on board for Quebec?

Or, that he was playing the "say what they want to hear" card and never truly was 100% intent on re-signing in NJ? As much as fans want players to be "real", it does no good as a Captain to say mid-season that you don't want to re-sign. Just saying.

lol whatever I am just pissed that we are losing players when we needed to add and our options have gone to sh*t. Our financial problem is a very real one and I hope Vanderbeek has it under control.. Its tough not being able to add anybody and nobody really even expects the Devils to be able to add much. Then you got teams like the Rangers who are already pretty stacked adding Nash and also stating the would still like to add more, and same for Carolina adding Semin and Staal n still wanting to add more. Devils lose Parise Poni and maybe Sykora and its all status quo.

i haven't been trying to say that. he didn't screw us, but he didn't improve us at all from the hit taken from Parise's departure. Thats a disappointing frustration that I'm sure many share. I admit, I've vented about it more than necessary.

We do, and Ive been a Devils fan for far to long to ever change teams or to lose faith, Im just having horrible flashbacks of the last time we tried a season without Parise and didn't replace him. Rangers have made some bad moves in the past but give the GM credit he goes all out, and its bound to pay off Nash Richards Gaborik not to shabby a line there.

We lost to the Kings because of a combination of luck, bad decisions, and Quick being amazing. Size and speed were a small part but we kept up with them pretty well on those fronts

We didn't lose to LA because we weren't big enough or strong enough. If my mind recalls, the first two games went into overtime. Had just one of our chances gone in, it's a entirely different series. That's why we lost, because we failed to capitalize. We had our chances, we played them well defensively.
