also havlat got Kronwalled. The dude was labeled hard, came back the same game and got hit in the head again behind the net. No call ofc. Also some huge turnovers by our great dmen, i think campbell, seabrook and maybe even keith that led to odd man breaks and goals the other way - damn Cleary. With Havlat and Khabby going down, that was it for a come back. Khabby wasn't playing great, but acceptable. We played Detroit tough that year, but could have used another player. Paulson was no help. I did see Paulhson play last year - tons better than that year.
That really sucked about Havlat - you can see the guy progress as the year went on, because he played tentative after his surgery. But was playing better and better as the season progressed. That line - Bolland, Havlat and Ladd was so dangerous. that team was fun too watch.

Depends what you call a hockey trade...Rest assured Gillis will take back a bad contract or a couple of players who are considered projects. No team is going to suck that contract up and not want some cap relief.

The Hawks took back only one player and used only one roster spot...Although Olesz has been of no use in Chgo Bowman didn't have to use up a bunch of contract spots.

Gillis is hooped on Luongo as far as trading him for equivalent value. And it's not only the length of contract, $ value and his age - Roberto can veto any trade if he doesn't like the destination.

And he won't go to Toronto. The pressure there is far geater than in Vancouver.

Gillis may have to throw another good player into the deal to get Luongo moved - like maybe Burrows.

Burrows is a good suggestion in your scenario as he's entering his contract year and will be in line for a huge raise next year. I'm more inclined to think if there's a player going the other way it may be Booth or most likely he'll try to unload Raymond.
