Ryan is like dessert -- we don't really need it, but we want it.

we'll be fine with him or without him -- i think Homer knows this and isn't going to overpay for him.

He's a very good player, but I don't even really want him. Sometimes, it seems the biggest reason people want him is where he was born.

Yea unless its a deal centered around Read I dont see it happening, and ANA has to see this with the whole Weber thing. Ryan is nowhere near Weber and we didnt budge on the kids, so if there are talks still ongoing my opinion is ANA is happy with Read being the center piece of any deal, plus prospects/picks
- aosplayo

yeah agreed -- i think the entire board agrees that Read/MAB picks and prospects it he highest we will go.

I just don't see Wellwood playing ahead of Fedotenko or Talbot. If he devlops hands to go with his speed, look out.
- Jsaquella

I'm sure you are right. I was thinking chemistry. I like Talbot at center, which puts him on the 4th line. I also like Rusty playing with Talbot.

I would love to see a 4th line that can play 8-10 mins a game. I realize that means less time for G and Briere lines, but they'd be a lot fresher too, kinda like the Eagles d-line rotations.

Yes. He is incredible. I want to trade Giroux for him, because he's just magical

He's a good player. I will root for him and be happy that he's on the team. But if they're demanding Schenn or Couturier...well (frank) that.

I do see what you are saying. I've watched dome ducks game and I really like his play. He played with some great players over there. He is still young(25?). He isn't in his prime yet and I just feel Giroux and him would mesh well. Or even with Danny B. Hell, Schenn centering Simmons and Ryan would be nasty

No Shelley in that list?

But by the way, I do agree with your earlier comment on Wellwood. That is basically the difference between him and Read - Read almost wins accuracy contests.
