Do gay bars deny entrance to straight people? No.
Do straight people frequent those establishments? Also no.

Is that a pretty straight-forward example of people segregating themselves? Yep.

Are you avoiding the point I made because you realize this and don't want to admit your mistake? Seems pretty damned likely.

Your point was unclear. You've now explained yourself. How was I to understand from "I'm sure you go to ̶ "bars" all the time" that you were referring to one comment among many about segregation?

It's a generalization though because plenty of straight people go to gay bars. You don't segregate yourself from an establishment...that was the point I attempted to make but was also unclear.

how many, would you say?

Lets be a bit more specific here, how many straight males go to gay bars?

I don't know. I do know that I have been to gay bars and I have met other straight people there.

The point is that straight people don't generally go to gay bars because there is a divurgence of interests. I don't go to hip-hop bars because I don't like the music. It doesn't have anything to do with the clientele.

Look, we're all bored with no NHL right now and nothing new to talk about, but can we just stop this stupid "argument" (and I use that word loosely) about the gay comunity?

It's rather pointless

I have a suggestion if you think it's stupid: stop reading. Glucky and I are bored as well and we seem to like splitting hairs.

If he plays the PP yes, if not no.

I assume however the PP will be Phaneuf and Liles, so I say no, especially under Carlyle's system... NEXT!

Gardiner improved his stats under Carlyle. There are generally two pp units. Don't be so hasty to move along!

The 2nd pp isnt nearly as good as the first, so I limit his PP points if he is on the 2nd unit.

Also, I hope that Carlyle works with him a bit ont he back-end. He was surprisingly good as a rookie d-man in his own zone, but if Carlyle can really get him to be rock-solid back there, that would be a delight in addition to his offensive abilities.

I hope you're right. I think he's a star in the making but it's important that he develops into something more (and signs indicate he will) than a one dimensional d-man.

I say spending that many years as part of Bruins fried his brain cells. He had to jump ship before it was too late

Depending on how he is handled, it is very possible.

Funny thread of gayness.

Personally, instead of boycotting it, I think it would be hilarious if all gay people made Chick-Fil-A their hang out.

Could you imagine all chick-fil-a's nation wide all of a sudden being populated by homosexuals? Of course, straight people would stop going (people segregate themselves, this isn't prejudicial).. and CFA would become known as the "gay spot".

What would the company do? Shut down based on beliefs? Or would he take all that 'gay money'?

Yeah, McGuinty sucks. He’s a mess. I’d like to see Hudak in charge. It can’t get any worse. Federally, however, I honestly wish Chretien were still in charge with Paul Martin Minister of Finance. They had this country in such great shape for so long.

Yeah, I can't stand McGuinty.

Ontario has been paying equalization payments since they've began though. So, let's not crap on Ontario for that.

It speaks volumes about McGuinty though. 50 years or something like that, he's the FIRST to push Ontario into negative equalization payments.

It shocks me.... Does ANYONE in Ontario like this guy? Most of the traditionally liberal groups here can't stand him anymore.

The current global recession has been quite lengthy. Late 2007 to present. I'm not sure that is comparable.

With that said there has been no attempt to cut costs so no doubt our deficit is bloated beyond what was necessary.

Not to mention, taking away the right to strike from professions that by no means fall under the "essential services" category.

Awfully right-wing for a liberal politician.
