Agreed......TSN guys seem to think the focus is still on Doan because Buffalo has the best offer, but Doan would like to see how serious teams are about getting to the promised land now. If Reiger acquires a significant player soon, Doan's interest will peak....the same message was probably conveyed to NYR and Philly and NYR got the job done, so they may now have the inside track.

Could see Gaborik traded for defensive help traded if Doan signs with NYR.

Why do people seem to think the Rangers need help on defense? Defense is kind of their strong point. At most maybe a depth guy that can play whenever they need. Not someone that would require trading your top goal scorer away for.

Dont see it happening. Gaborik is out until january with that torn rotator cuff.

Also the rangers just resigned stralman. I could see them going after a hannan, kubina or jurcina for added depth at D
